Wow Techniques Class Tomorrow—Last Chance To Sign Up!
We had our Too Cool Demo Team meeting last Monday and Kathe Madsen brought an awesome make & take for us to do. I liked it so much, and it's so simple, that I've decided to add the project to my Wow Technique Class tomorrow night at 6:30pm, at my Too Cool Stamping Studio in SW Fort Wayne.
You still have until 5pm today to register to attend.
Find out more about how you can attend the Wow Techniques Class for FREE each month when you join my Too Cool Stamp Club.
Here are three of the four projects we'll be creating:
This is the fourth card we're creating for the class, courtesy of Kathe's creativity! Kathe was inspired by a card created by Michelle Zindorf from Freedom In Creating.
The card base is the beautiful Coastal Cabana. We stamped the "chicken wire" image twice across the front in Old Olive—it overlaps under the watercolored element.
The sentiment is from Sweet Essentials—currently on sale for 25% off along with two other sentiment stamps during the Grab Your Greetings promo thru June 30. It's stamped in Always Artichoke.
We used a watercolor wash technique on a 2-1/4 x 3-1/2" piece of Watercolor Paper to create the two-tone background.

Clear-Mount Block Watercolor Wash Technique
- Ink a clean clear-mount block with Coastal Cabana Ink, then spritz it several times with water.
- Apply the ink to a piece of watercolor paper, starting at the top left corner and working toward the center.
- Repeat the same process with Old Olive ink, applying it from the lower right corner toward the center.
- TIPS: Repeat the process to add more color if you still have some uncolored spots. Lightly spritzing the watercolor paper will help the colors blend together nicely.

I used the rougher side of the watercolor paper for more textured look. Once the background wash was dry, we stamped the flower in Old Olive and the two-step flower tops in Calypso Coral.
The bold leaves were stamped in a darker Always Artichoke ink. Then we matted the stamped layer on a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Crisp Cantaloupe.
