Let's get a closer look at one of the class cards we'll be creating at the "Last Thursdays" class!

For all you do - three cool

This is the first and only class that I'm able to use this awesome new Sale-a-Bration selection called For Being You!  I love the great big "Thanks" word that can be colored, or embossed, or in this case, paper pieced!

For all you do - paisley bash

CASEd from Brian King at Stamp With Brian.

Background Basics—For my first card, I started by adding a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper to a Whisper White card base.

For all you do - paisley bash 2

Focal Point—I stamped the For Being You "thanks" onto a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White.  I stamped it closer to the top to leave room to stamp the "for all you do" underneath and still have room to tie a Best Year Ever Crushed Curry Ribbon around it.  I added some Rhinestone Jewels for a sparkly ellipses. Sweet!

Pretty Paper Piecing—I stamped the same "thanks" image onto the same Birthday Bash DSP paper, then hand-cut the letters.  It really didn't take very much time, since they are nice, block-style letters.  I just cut out the main part of the letter, not the drop shadow.  I highly recommend using the ultra-sharp Paper Snips for this detailed cutting!

TIP: You'll need to use a craft knife to cut the inside of the "A" letter.

I adhered the letters by coloring in the image with the 2-Way Glue Pen and laying the DSP cut-outs on top.

I matted the layer onto a 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock, then popped up the layer with Dimensionals onto the card front.  Done!

For all you do - painted dots

Two Cool—I had so much fun with the first card, I couldn't wait to try it out with more Designer Series Paper patterns!  For my second card, I used the colorful dotted pattern from Painted Blooms DSP and matted it on Pacific Point card stock.

For all you do - painted dots 2

I love the way this one turned out!

For all you do - best chevrons ever

Three Cool—Here's my third attempt, this time with a pretty pattern from the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  It's matted on Coastal Cabana card stock.

For all you do - best chevrons ever 2

I think this one might be my favorite!  My local class will get to choose which DSP they want to use on their project!

For all you do - best chevrons ever 3

Too Cool TIP—I almost forgot to show you how to use your DSP in the most efficient way for this project!  To save paper, I used the Small Envelope Framelit to cut out the center of my 5-1/4" x 4" bottom DSP layer before adhering it to the card base.  Then I stamped on that cut-out for the paper pieced words!  Too Cool!
