Happy Birthday To You Celebrate Card
I received this pretty swap card from Kay Cogbill and I simply adore the soft pastel colors! The Happy Birthday To You is a must-have from the Sale-a-Bration flyer, especially if you are a fan of coloring. It's perfect for Stampin' Blends Markers!
Background Basics—Kay started by layering a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper onto a Petal Pink card base. She added a 5-1/4" x 5/8" strip of Petal Pink cardstock across the front that she had stamped in Basic Gray ink with the Happy Birthday To You sentiment.
Quaint Cake—Kay stamped the cake image from Happy Birthday To You stamp set in Basic Gray ink onto a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White. She colored in the image with Stampin' Blends Markers: Smoky Slate for the cake stand, Petal Pink for the flowers, Mint Macaron for the leaves and Daffodil Delight for the flower centers. She finished by tying a Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon bow and attaching it with a Glue Dot. The layer is adhered to the card front with SNAIL adhesive.

Happy Birthday To You Glitter Ribbon Card
We'll be creating this swap card, designed by Kay Kalthoff, at my card class tonight! I love all of the shiny accents paired with this beautiful cake!
Background Basics—This card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Pool Party cardstock onto a Basic Black card base. Next, Kay diagonally cut a 3" x 4" piece of the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP and adhered each piece in it's corresponding corner of the Pool Party layer. I love her unique way of attaching some Black Glitter Ribbon along the diagonal edges using a Glue Dot under the focal point area. She trimmed off the ends flush with the edge of the Pool Party layer.
Sweet Cake—Kay also stamped her Happy Birthday To You cake onto a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White, this time in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. She also used Stampin' Blends Markers: Smoky Slate & Basic Black for the cake stand, Pool Party for the cake, Petal Pink for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves. She topped the flowers with Rhinestone Jewels. She stamped the sentiment above the cake and added a little Pool Party shadow with Blends. It's layered onto a 3" x 4-1/4" Basic Black cardstock and popped up with Dimensionals.
