Berry Delightful Center Flap Cards
I love making cards that are a little different than the traditional and this center flap fold is a fun one!
Background Basics—I started with a quarter-sheet Poppy Parade card base measuring 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". I layered a 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Shaded Spruce down the center. For the card opening, I cut a 3" x 11" piece of Basic White, scored it at 5-1/2" and decorated the front with a 3" x 5-1/2" piece of Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper. It's mounted onto the card front with SEAL adhesive.
Ribbon—Although it's hard to see in the photo, I tied some White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the center flap for some subtle, see-thru texture. This ribbon looks fantastic with the Berry Blessings coordinating products!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Sweet Strawberry sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink onto a Basic White Hippo & Friends die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Pretty Berry—I stamped the Sweet Strawberry leaves outline in Granny Apple Green ink onto scrap Basic White, then filled it in with the two-step stamp in the same ink. I also stamped the Berry Blessings berry outline in Poppy Parade and filled it in with the coordinating stamp in Poppy Parade, then added a Shaded Spruce stem on top. I hand cut the images, layered them with SEAL and popped them up under the sentiment with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I colored two Rhinestone Jewels with Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends Markers and added them to the sentiment for sparkle. So sweet!
Inside The Card—Don't forget to decorate the inside of the card with a matching raspberry image, this time with a Granny Apple Green stem.
Two Cool—I was inspired to create my card above from this beautiful swap card I received from Amy Frillici! Hers is just a bit different in measurements. She started with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" base of Rich Razzleberry and a 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" layer of Granny Apple Green. Her center flap is 3-1/2" x 11" and scored at the 5-1/2" mark, topped with a 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Berry Delightful DSP.
Pretty Berries & Such—Before Amy mounted the center flap onto the card base, she wrapped the card with the White Linen Ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, with the ends meeting under the sentiment. The Berry Blessings sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink onto a larger Hippo & Friends Basic White die-cut and accented with an Opal Round embellishment. So pretty!
