Basic Book Cover
• Score
each cover at the 1” mark (on the 7-1/4” side), this will allow the book to
open easily.
• Attach
clear envelopes together; peel off plastic and stick the flaps together.
• Adhere
the envelope flaps to the cover (openings in the back) inside the 1” scored
area using SNAIL, then adhere the other cover over the top.
• Score the
Choc. Chip piece at the 1” mark (2” side).
• Adhere one
side of the Choc. Chip piece to the front of the cover only with SNAIL. TIP: Do not cover your cover’s score line or
it will not open properly.
• Using the
1/8” hole punch, make two holes in the spine for holding two rhinestone brads.
• Adhere
the back of the Chocolate piece to cover the brads.
Decorating The Front
• Adhere
Old Olive strip along the bottom with SNAIL.
• Use
Scallop Trim Border Punch to create a border with So Saffron piece, then attach
to the large Designer Series Paper piece with SNAIL so it’s peeking out
underneath. Adhere that layer on top of
Olive piece.
Accents
• Punch a
large circle out of light pink Designer Series Paper.
• Use the
Bird Punch to punch the three shapes out of scraps of So Saffron and Old Olive
cardstock and coordinating Designer Series Paper. Assemble on the circle with
SNAIL, then attach to cover with foam.
• Use
markers to color “Friend” image then stamp on scrap of Whisper White cardstock
and punch with Oval Scallop punch.
Adhere to cover with foam.
