Butterfly Brilliance Thinking of You Card
LeeAnn Greff created this pretty swap card with a lovely shimmery-black butterfly and perfect, eye-pleasing balance of design. This card is included as part of my Butterfly Bouquet 25-Card Tutorial PDF.
Background Basics—LeeAnn's card begins with a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper adhered to a Mint Macaron card base. She layered a 2" x 4" piece of the Natural Touch Specialty Paper onto a 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic Black and added that to the card front. Next, she embossed a 4-1/4" x 7/8" piece of Basic Black with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered it across the front of the card.
Sweet Sentiment—LeeAnn die-cut a Painted Labels Basic White die-cut and stamped it with a Happy Thoughts greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It's adhered to the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Layered Butterfly—The focal point is created with a die-cut of the pre-printed Butterfly Bijou image layered with an intricately die-cut Brilliant Wings Basic Black butterfly. LeeAnn brushed the black butterfly with Wink of Stella glimmer for a shimmery finish and topped it with a couple of Rhinestone Jewels. The bottom layer is adhered with SEAL and the top butterfly is attached with Glue Dots.

Butterfly Bijou Double-Point Card
Susan Campfield created this awesome double-point folded card that is such a fun layout to try! It's easier than you might think and I'll include this one as part of my 25-Card Tutorial.
Background Basics—This card begins with a quarter-sheet 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Just Jade card base. To create the folded points, Susan started with two 4" x 3" pieces of Butterfly Bijou DSP and scored along the 3" side at the 1" mark. Fold the two corners down to that score line, then adhere the remaining 1" flap behind a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White. Mount the layers onto the card base and use a Bone Folder to burnish the folds so that the DSP lays down nicely.
Focal Point Card Front—Susan layered four pieces of cardstock to create the card front: 2" x 3" Basic White, 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" Just Jade, 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Mint Macaron and 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" Basic Black. She adhered the top of the card front to the top DSP point, so that it opens and overlaps the bottom point.
Butterfly Layers—Susan layered a Black Brilliant Wings die-cut butterfly with Glue Dots over a solid butterfly die-cut from the same Butterfly Bijou DSP. It's added to the card front with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—The Quite Curvy sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White, cut to 1-1/8" x 3/8" and popped up with Dimensionals. She finishes by adding Opal Rounds to the top of the butterfly and floating around it.
