Hi Stamping Friends!

Today, I've got a peek at another project from my new Festival of Trees Stamp-of-the-Month Class!  Have you registered yet?  My local class is November 13, or order a Class-To-Go Kit with everything you need to make the projects!  And, if you're a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you can choose my Projects-Only Kit option! Registration ends on October 27!  Learn more!

I also did a similar project for my team members at our recent meeting.  Let's take a look at both of these Too Cool projects!

The Candy Bar Pull Treat Holder is one of my favorite treats to make, partly because it's so easy to create, partly because it holds a candy bar, but mostly because of the "wow" factor!  They are perfect treats for party favors, stocking stuffers, or sweet little gifts for co-workers, teachers and friends!

Create Your Own Candy Bar Pull Treat—You can find the instructions to make these at Splitcoast Stampers: Candy Bar Pull Treat Tutorial

Grateful for you candy bar pull 3

Grateful Treat Basics—I started with a piece of Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper cut to 6" x 7-1/2".  After scoring along the 6" edge at the 1-1/2" and 4" marks, I folded the sides and adhered one of the overlapping edges with Sticky Strip.  TIP: You could also use the new Fast Fuse for a secure hold, but you need something stronger than SNAIL.

Next, I stapled the bottom closed with the Handheld Stapler from the Holiday Catalog.  I wrapped some Color Me Autumn Washi Tape around the bottom for decoration.

Wrapping It Up—I used a punch from the Little Labels Accents Punch Pack to punch a slot through both layers of the top.  Then, I wrapped an 18" piece of Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin Ribbon length-wise around a Hershey Bar and stuffed it into the pocket.  Finally, the ends of the ribbon were threaded through the slots and tied into a double-knot.

Wow Factor!  All you need to do is pull the ribbon and the candy bar slides up out of the pocket!  It's Too Cool! TIP: Let the recipient know to pull the ribbon!  I've seen too many people unknowingly start untying the knot!

Belly Band—I like to add a 2" wide belly band around my sliders to provide a foundation for a focal embellishment.  Here, I used another piece of Color Me Autumn DSP about 6-3/4" long.  I don't score anything, I simply wrap it around and adhere the ends with Sticky Strip.

Grateful Tag—I stamped the Merry Everything sentiment in Cajun Craze onto Very Vanilla card stock, then punched it out with the coordinating Note Tag Punch.  I punched another Note Tag shape from Champagne Glimmer Paper to cut in half and reposition as a decorative edge behind the top and bottom of the tag.

Bundle It & Save—Purchase the Merry Everything stamp set and Note Tag Punch together in the Merry Everything Bundle (wood) and save 15%!

Finishing Touches—I love the addition of the Autumn Wooden Elements at the top, attached with a Glue Dot.  And I finished it off with a single Rhinestone Jewel, colored with the Old Olive Blendabilities Markers to match.

Candy bar 3

Festival of Trees Treat—We'll be creating the second project at my Festival of Trees Class!  It's made with the All Is Calm Designer Series Paper.  I used the Pear Pizzazz Chevron Ribbon for the slider, and I actually like the wider ribbon better for this project because it has a better hold of the candy bar.  Rather than tying the ends in a bulky knot, I tied some Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta around the ends. Cute!

Candy bar 2

Tree Décor—After adding a 2" wide All Is Calm matching belly band, I created a cute embellishment on the front with the Festival of Trees set.  I started with a Deco Labels Collection die-cut in Pool Party.  Next, I stamped the tree in Pear Pizzazz on Whisper White card stock and added the dots over the top in Lost Lagoon.  It's punched out with the coordinating Tree Punch.

Bundle It & Save—Purchase the Festival of Trees stamp set and Tree Punch together in the Festival of Trees Bundle and save 15%!  That discount is included in the price of my class kit!

Finishing Touches—Finally, the Good Greetings sentiment is stamped in Lost Lagoon on Whisper White and punched with the Modern Label Punch.  All of the layers are adhered with Dimensionals.  A couple of Rhinestone Jewels give it some sparkle.

Candy bar 4

On this project, I added the All Is Calm silver washi tape first, then stapled over the top of it.
