Today's project is from Michelle Hoover and it's one of my personal favorites from our Occasions Kickoff Party! I think it's absolutely gorgeous!
Background Basics—Michelle used the beautiful new images in the Butterfly Basics stamp set for the background. She stamped the "rope line" border and sentiment in Sahara Sand onto a Whisper White card base. TIP: She mounted both images on a large "I" Block, so class attendees could stamp them over and over with perfect placement every time. Great idea for mass-producing cards!
Focal Point Foundation—The pretty floral paper under the butterfly is from the new Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper pack It's specifically designed to be used with weddings and other elegant events. This 12-sheet, 12"x 12", monochromatic pack is configured a little differently than normal, featuring 4 each of 3 designs, so you can create multiple cards or invitations with the same pattern of paper.
The DSP on the card measures 2" x 3" and it's adhered to a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2' Sahara Sand mat.
Butterfly Beauty—The showstopper on this card is most certainly the intricately die-cut butterfly from the new Butterflies Thinlits Dies! And this is just the one butterfly from this set. There's actually another larger die-cut butterfly that's even more impressive!
Charming Center—How about that sweet & sparkly Something Borrowed Embellishment in the center of the butterfly?! This fabulous accent really dresses up the card. You should see how it shimmers & shines in person…so glamorous!
Bitty Butterflies—Michelle finished her card with a small butterfly image from the Butterfly Basics set, inked in Sahara Sand and punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch.
