The vellum and embossing folder add unique texture and dimension, too. Such a lovely combination of elements!

Brushed With Beauty Just Because Card

The last card from my Brushed With Beauty Class features a fun off-set gate fold card in beautiful muted tones.

Background Basics

The 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Secret Sea card base is scored at the 3-1/4″ and 7-1/2″ marks. Fold and meet the ends up so that they are flush first, then burnish the folds with a Bone Folder.

I adhered a 3″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper to the larger front panel, then a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Brushed With Beauty DSP to the small flap.

Focal Point Foundation

I layerd a 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Brushed With Beauty DSP onto a 3-3/4″ x 3″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock, then mounted it onto the small flap with SEAL Adhesive.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Words of Beauty “because I appreciate you” phrase in Secret Sea onto a Petal Pink Branched Out die-cut label. I popped it up with Dimensionals onto the front focal point foundation. Next, I die-cut the Words of Beauty “just” word from Secret Sea cardstock and the outline from Very Vanilla cardstock. I adhered the words together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then mounted it onto the label with more Liquid Glue.

Next, I stamped the two Petals of Beauty leaf images in Lost Lagoon ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I also stamped the Petals of Beauty flowers in stamped-off Darling Duckling for the solid images and full-strength Darling Duckling for the detailed two-step image. All were die-cut with coordinating Petals of Beauty Dies and attached with SEAL Adhesive around the label. The smaller leaf is tucked under the label; the larger leaf also has a Dimensional under it.

Finishing Touches

I added a few Secret Sea Low Profile Sparkle Dots around the focal point for a lovely finish.

Inside The Card

I stamped on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with Words of Beauty sentiment in Secret Sea ink and Petals of Beauty leaves in Lost Lagoon ink. The perfect finish!
