Basic Basket
• Die cut
Certainly Celery card stock with the Fancy Favor Box die. Lay card stock on die, sandwich between
Extended Cutting Pads and run through the Big Shot.
• Fold at
the score marks. TIP: You will not be using the “Y” folds on the sides.
• There
will be 4 sides of the box and an extra tab.
Add Sticky Tape to the “outside” of the tab and adhere to the inside of
the box.
• Fold in
the straight flaps on the bottom, then the pointed flap. Add Sticky Tape to all three sides of the
final pointed flap and adhere.
• Add SNAIL
to all edges of the larger Designer Series Paper. Align it flush with the an edge of the box
and slowly wrap the paper around the box.
TIP: Take special care with
the corners; I stick my fingers between the paper and box while I fold around
the corner and make a nice crease, then lay the paper down.
• Trim
excess.
Handle
• Adhere ¾”
wide Designer Series Paper strip to the strip of card stock.
• Add SNAIL
to the final 1” of each end of the strip on the Designer Series Paper side. Option:
If you want your handle ends to show, adhere to the back side.
• Adhere
each end to the basket sides, centered, about 1” from the top of the box.
• Use a
Crop-A-Dile to punch holes in the ends and secure them with Rhinestone
Brads. Option: Add a Boho punched flower under the brad. You can also
cover the brads inside the basket with a flower or circle punch.
Decorating
• Use the
Eyelet Border punch on the 1” Designer Series Paper strip.
• Run the
1” Designer Series Paper through the crimper.
• Run
Sticky Tape around the outside of your box where you want the Designer Series
Paper to go; one line should hold it fine.
• TIP: Do a “practice run” with the
crimped piece around the box to make sure it will be long enough. If it’s not, flatten out the crimps a bit
until it reaches.
• Adhere
the crimped piece and trim. TIP: It works better to NOT start at an
edge for this piece.
• Wrap
ribbon around box, double knot & trim.
• Use
markers to color greeting, stamp on Whisper White scrap, then punch with Curly
Label punch. Adhere to scallop circle
punch from Taken With Teal card stock. Attach to box with Dimensionals.
• Option: Punch various Boho Flowers, add
a Rhinestone Brad to one of them, attach to box with Dimensionals.
