The first card from my Floral Delight LIVE Class spotlights the beautiful Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty Paper. It’s great for creating softly patterned background elements for the contrasting flowers.

I CASEd this card design from Sandy Carlson, and I’ve featured her swap card below. I started my card with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder and mounted onto a Coastal Cabana card base. Next, I added two patterns from the Floral & Gingham Vellum paper, both measuring 1-1/2″ x 4″. They are adhered a little off-set and overlapping with SEAL Adhesive.

I die-cut a Delightful Wishes branch in Pecan Pie cardstock, trimmed off the bottom to shorten the branch, then adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Next, I stamped the Delightful Wishes solidy floral image in Daffodil Delight ink, adding the detailed two-step image over the top in Crushed Curry ink. TIP: I found it easier to do the darker detailed image first, then added the lighter solid image. Not how I usually do it, but the light color was difficult to line up.

I also stamped four Delightful Wishes leaves in Old Olive ink. Then, I die-cut all the pieces. I adhered the leaves to the backs of some of the flowers before popping all of them up with Dimensionals.

I stamped the Delightful Wishes sentiment in Pecan Pie ink onto a Basic White Delightful Wishes label die-cut. I trimmed the label down; cutting it at a diagonal, then popping it up with Mini Dimensionals (or the trim around Dimensionals).

I finished by adding a Tiny Bee Trinket with a Glue Dot. So sweet!

I received this pretty swap card from Sandy Carlson and used most of its design for my own class card. Thanks for the fabulous idea, Sandy!

Sandy’s card starts by adding the 1-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Floral & Gingham Vellum onto a Basic White Thick card base. I duplicated her entire focal point because it was too awesome to change! Her sentiment is stamped onto a 1/4″ strip of Basic White cardstock, trimmed to fit the birthday sentiment from Delightful Wishes. She finished with the Tiny Bee Trinket. Super cute!
