Unbounded Love In Color Birthday Card
Deno Rekow celebrated the new In Colors with this cool swap card that I received last month.
Background Basics
Dena started by embossing a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the new Eyelet Embossing Folder, then mounted it onto a Thick Basic White card base. Next, she cut 3-3/4″ x 1″ strips of each of the In Colors—Peach Pie, Pretty In Pink, Petunia Pop, Summer Splash & Shy Shamrock—and mounted them onto a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. It’s layered onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Focal Point & Flowers
Dena stamped the Unbounded Love sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White Unbounded Love scalloped oval die-cut label. It’s popped up with Dimensionals. She also used the Flowers of Beauty Dies to create little Basic White flower die-cuts. She adhered those to the front, one touching each color, with a Glue Dot. She finished by adding the coordinating color of In Color Shimmer Gem to each of the flowers. So fun, easy & delightful!
Attention Shoppers In Color Just For You Card
Here’s another fun In Color themed swap card that I received, created by Tiffany Almeida. She CASEd the cool woven card on the Metallic Magic page 110 from the NEW Annual Catalog. How cool!
Basic Background
Tiffany started with a 4″ x 5-1/4′ piece of Basic White cardstock. She used the Stampin’ Trimmer to add 9 slits in the piece that were 4-3/4″ long and spaced 1/4″ apart. Next, she cut two 2-1/4″ x 1/4″ pieces of all of the In Colors and weaved them through the slits. It’s just the right amount of space to feature all five colors two times. She used Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the back to mount the woven layer to a Thick Basic White card base. TIP: Be sure to add Liquid Glue over the whole woven area as a way to keep the strips in place.
Focal Point & Flowers
Tiffany stamped a sentiment from the Attention Shoppers stamp set in Shy Shamprock onto a Basic White Unbounded Love die-cut label. It’s popped up with Dimensionals. Like Dena’s card above, she used the Flowers of Beauty Dies to die-cut little flowers; one in each of the In Colors. She attached those to the card with Glue Dots, then added a coordinating In Color Shimmer Gem to each of the blooms. Love it!
