"Last Thursdays" Moves To Tuesday Next Week

We'll be meeting on Tuesday, November 25 for this monthly class, since Thursday is Thanksgiving.  Holiday cards will be featured for the final time, as the December "Last Thursdays" is re-scheduled for after Christmas.

We'll be creating 4 cards, including this pretty one by Darla Eigenschink.  Look for other projects using the Christmas Bauble, Christmas Cheer and Beauty of the Season.  Class is $10, or it's FREE with a minimum qualifying order.

Today, let's take a peek at a couple more projects from my upcoming Get Your Santa On class!  This Stamp-of-the-Month class includes everything you need to create 7 projects—just add ink and adhesive!

Oooohh!  I think these gift tags turned out to be so adorable!  Don't you?!  We'll be creating both of these tags for the Get Your Santa On class!

Tag Bases—When I want a fast and easy gift tag, I love the Chalk Talk Framelits tag.  I die-cut tags in Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler, then decorated them with 2-3/16" x 2" decorative paper from the Trim The Tree Designer Series Paper Stack.  Class kits will include a full pack of this paper, and attendees can choose the paper they like for their tags.

Here Comes Santa Clause—I stamped the Get Your Santa On suit image in Memento Black Ink onto Whisper White.  It's punched with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch, then layered on a Garden Green 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punched shape and popped up with Dimensionals.  I colored Santa's feet with Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and a Blender Pen.  Class kits will include a Blender Pen, too!

Jolly Greeting—I stamped the phrase in Memento Black Ink onto a 1/2" wide strip of Whisper White, then fish-tailed the ends before popping it up with Dimensionals.  What a perfect phrase for a gift from Santa!

Twinkling Details—After tying on a Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine bow, I added a little glitter to Santa's suit trim with the Dazzling Details glue.  Remember to add this last, since it takes some time to dry. 

Better Watch Out—On the second tag, I stamped the main Santa image in Memento Ink onto Whisper White, then punched out a portion of Santa with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  This one is layered on a matching Cherry Cobbler 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punched shape and popped up with Dimensionals.  Santa is colored with Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride, Basic Gray, and Crushed Curry.

Finishing Touches—This tag is finished just like the first.  I added Dazzling Details glitter to Santa's beard and hat trim.  So cute!

We'll also be creating a decorated gift card holder at the Get Your Santa On class!  

Card Holder Basics—I started with a pre-cut Gift Card Enclosure foundation.  Have you seen these in the Annual Catalog?  You receive a pack of 10 die-cut, pre-scored, kraft colored enclosures for just $5.95. 

Window Frame Focal Point—I stamped the chimney image in Memento Black Ink onto Whisper White, then die-cut it with the Window Frame Framelits.  I die-cut a second Cherry Cobbler Window Frame, cut it in half an re-positioned it to frame the top and bottom of the focal point. 

Color, Sparkle & Trim—I colored the image with a Blender Pen and Classic Ink Pads: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Garden Green.  I accented the image with some Rhinestone Jewels on the garland along the mantle, and a Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine bow on the wreath.

Trim The Tree Belly Band—Like all of the projects in this class, participants will be able to select the paper they like most for the gift card holder's belly band. I cut the paper to 1-3/4" x 6-1/2", fastened one edge to the back of the window frame shape with Fast Fuse Adhesive, then wrapped the paper around the holder by hand (no scoring).  Once I got the creases in place, I slipped it off of the holder and adhered the other side to the back of the focal point.  

Inside Décor—I added a 3-1/2" square piece of matching DSP to the inside.  The holder actually has little slits pre-cut in the back to hold a gift card, but I covered these up.  I figured that most gift cards have that gummy adhesive on the back and I could just keep that on the card to hold it in place on this holder. 

Sentiment—I stamped the coordinating "Chimney Delivery" phrase and punched it with the Modern Label Punch for a sentiment. 

I did a second version in another Trim The Tree paper pattern.  So easy & fun!
