This week, I'm focusing on some different ways to use the Beveled Windowpanes! I've been pleasantly surprised to find that they are very easy to modify for a whole range of looks! You've got to try these awesome embellishments!
Today, I'm featuring Windowpanes adorned with Glass Glitter!
Oh, how I adore the Windowpane all glittered up! This was another tip that we learned from Kelly Acheson at her Leadership presentation, and it's also featured on her A Stamp Above blog. Glitter Windowpane How-Tos
This one is SO easy! Simply outline the bevel with Sticky Strip and dip it into Glass Glitter (I used the Champagne color).
Stamping On Windowpanes
This time, instead of stamping on the paper, I stamped on the back of the Windowpane with StazOn Black Ink. You have to have a light touch, because the image will tend to move on the slick surface when you stamp. The nice thing is that if you mess up, you can rub it off with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol. The things you learn when you're experimenting!
TIP: If you want the ink to stick better, I recommend lightly sanding the back of the pane. You won't be able to see the sanding very well anyway when it's on top of a stamped piece of cardstock.
I tried coloring the stamped flower with Rose Red and Always Artichoke markers, but you can see that the color didn't stick after heat-setting. The flower has a very pastel look. For truer marker colors, I recommend lightly sanding. You can see an example in my Frosted Windowpanes post.
Bisque Pottery Textured Background
I've also been experimenting with different ways to ink and antique with the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder. The technique I used on this background makes it look like porcelain or bisque. I applied Crumb Cake ink with a Brayer to the debossed side of the folder, then used it to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Isn't it beautiful?! I've also seen this with Frost White Shimmer Paint or Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint lightly sponged over the texture—gorgeous!

More Scrunchy Ribbon
I'm crazy over the Scrunchy Ribbon technique! This time, I used it on a 12" piece of 3/8" Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon and it created a skinny scrunched accent! It's so tiny and cute! Love it! It's attached by Sticky Strip.
Shortened Modern Label Punch
The sentiment, from Clearly For You, is layered on Rose Red cardstock that was shortened with the Modern Label Punch. Learn more about this punch trick at this post.

I am definately going to order some Glass Glitter. I think all of the colors are really pretty and any of them would look great on the windowpanes!
I would love to try the glass glitter on some other projects. It really has a lot of sparkle.
