Heart Shaped Loves Your Heart Gate-Fold Card

I created this card combining the Heart Shaped Bundle and the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper, both selections from this year’s Sale-a-Bration promotion. Get the DSP FREE with a $60 purchase; get the bundle FREE with a $120 purchase.

Background Basics

I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Pretty In Pink cardstock base, scored at the 2-1/8″ and 6-3/8″ marks to make a gate-fold card. Remember to line up the gate ends flush before using your Bone Folder to crisply burnish the score lines. I adhered a 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Bloom Impressions DSP to the left gate. The right gate has a 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock, embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.

Focal Point

I stamped the Heart Shaped image in Pretty In Pink ink onto a 3″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic White. It’s layered onto a 3-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Pretty In Pink, then mounted onto the left gate with SEAL Adhesive.

Next, I die-cut three Berry Burst flowers with the Heart Shaped Dies, attaching them with Glue Dots to the heart wreath. I topped the flowers with Pretty In Pink In Color Shimmer Gems.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Heart Shaped sentiment in Berry Burst ink onto a Heart Shaped Basic White die-cut banner, which is perfectly sized for the phrase. It’s adhered with SEAL onto the heart. So sweet!

Heart Shaped Loves Your Heart Center Flap Card

Natalie Travis created this swap card with some similar characteristics to mine. She also used the same Bloom Impressions DSP pattern for the color palette and she made a fun-fold card, too!

Background Basics

Natalie’s card begins with a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Melon Mambo cardstock for the card base. She created another 3-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ Melon Mambo piece, scored at the 4-1/4″ mark. It’s adhered to the center of the card base. Then, she added 1″ x 4″ pieces of Bloom Impressions DSP to each side of the center flap.

Card Front Décor

Natalie stamped the Hearts Shaped wreath in Pretty In Pink ink onto the top and bottom of a 3″ x 4″ piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock. It’s adhered to the center flap card front. Next, she die cut a Heart Shaped leafy heart from Melon Mambo cardstock and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Sweet Sentiment & Finishing Touches

She stamped the same Heart Shaped sentiment onto the Basic White die-cut as I did, this time using Melon Mambo ink. It’s popped up with Mini Dimensionals. Her card is accented with some of the Bubble Bath sequins from the FREE Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins Sale-a-Bration selection. Loveliness!
