In Color Club: Flower Trio Smile Card

Ahhh…that pretty Cloud Cover color may just be my favorite from all of the 2025-2027 In Colors! That soft, understated blue looks so lovely combined with the greens, blues and pinks from this gorgeous Florals In Bloom Designer Series Papers. Even though the ink pad will not be available due to quality issues, I’m so glad that we can still enjoy that color with cardstock, blends, markers and refill ink on an uninked Ink Spot.

Background Basics

I embossed a 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Cloud Cover cardstock with the Eyelet Embossing Folder, then adhered it to the top of a Cloud Cover card base. The bottom of the card front has a 4″ x 2-1/2″ pattern from the Florals In Bloom DSP pack. Then, I added a 4″ x 3/4″ strip of a second Florals In Bloom Secret Sea pattern across the middle for a bit of contrasting color.

Sweet Blooms

I stamped the Pretty Florals stems image in Lemon Lime Twist ink onto Basic White cardstock. Then I created three flowers, stamping the darker color first, then filling the blooms in with color: Shaded Spruce & stamped-off Shaded Spruce, Berry Burst and stamped-off Berry Burst and Secret Sea colored in with the Cloud Cover Stampin’ Write Marker. I die-cut each flower piece with the Pretty Florals Dies and popped them up onto a Basic White Textured Notes die-cut.

Next, I die-cut a single Shaded Spruce leafy branch, trimmed it into two pieces and adhered the leaves to the back of the Textured Notes label with SEAL. I mounted the whole thing to the card front with more SEAL..

Sweet Sentiment

I used the Secret Sea Stampin’ Write Marker with the brush-tip end to color the word “smile” only on the “you make me smile” sentiment. It’s stamped onto a Pool Party Unbounded Love die-cut rectangle and popped up with more Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches

I added a few Secret Sea In Color Flat Pearls around the flowers to complete the look. So fancy!
