It's so relaxing for me to just sit and color. Do you feel that way? If so, you'll love the Jar of Flowers stamp set! It's so satisfying to color and shade these pretty flowers with the awesome Stampin' Blends Markers!
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 3-1/4" x 5" piece of Calypso Coral cardstock with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and mounting it onto a Crumb Cake card base. I added a layer of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper in a dark hardwood pattern and measuring 4-1/4" x 2-3/4".
Fabulous Flowers—I stamped the Jar of Flowers jar image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink at the bottom of a 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Whisper White. Next, I stamped the sunflowers image from the set above the jar and the stems image inside the jar, both in Memento ink.
I colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers:
• Sunflower petals in Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Mango Melody
• Sunflower centers in Light Cinnamon Cider
• Other flowers in Light Calypso Coral
• Leaves in Light Mossy Meadow
• Dark Soft Suede for the cattail.
• Stems in Light Old Olive
• Jar in Light Pool Party
This layer is adhered to the card front with SEAL adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Lovely You sentiment in Memento ink onto So Saffron cardstock. It's die-cut with an Ornate Frames die and popped-up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I added a couple of Cinnamon Cider In Color Enamel Dots to the bottom of the stamped layer.
I also attached a Braided Linen Trim bow to the jar with a Glue Dot. Then, I finished by brushing on some Wink of Stella glitter over all of the flowers…perfect!
Two Cool—With just a few color changes, I get a whole different feel on this card. I started with a lighter woodgrain In Good Taste DSP pattern on a Gray Granite card base. The Misty Moonlight layer is adhered over the DSP this time, since the wood was not providing much contrast for the stamped layer.
Sensational Sunflowers—I only changed a couple of colors when coloring the image: the other flowers are Misty Moonlight, leaves in Dark Old Olive and the cattail is in Gray Granite.
Sweet Sentiment—Same words, stamped in Memento Black onto Sahara Sand this time.
Finishing Touches—If you don't have the In Color Enamel Dots, you can always color some Basic Rhinestone Jewels with the Dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends Marker for some matching sparky gems!
