Today, I'll be sharing the details of the final project from the this class.
Looks like Santa has his suit, boots and hat all laid out and ready to go for the Christmas season! Let the season officially begin today!
CASEd from Lisa Curcio at Lisa's Stamp Studio.
Background Basics—The 5-1/2" x 3" stamped focal point makes up most of the background on this adorable card. I started by stamping the "joy" garland in Garden Green ink across the top. The all-clear, photopolymer stamp style makes it super-easy to line up the garland.
Next, I stamped the Santa suit in Memento Black Ink so that it appears to be hanging from the garland.
I adhered the stamped panel to the Cherry Cobbler card base, along with a 5-1/2" x 1" strip of Trim The Tree Designer Series Paper and a 5-1/2" x 1/4" piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I double-wrapped Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine around the bottom for a pop of candy cane color.
You'll receive both the DSP and twine in your class kit!
Santa Suit Details—I stamped the suit image a second time on scrap paper, then hand-cut the coat to pop up with Dimensionals.
The suit is colored with Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray and Crumb Cake Classic Inks and a Blender Pen. A little Dazzling Details glitter glue makes the trim sparkle. TIP: Always add this detail last because it takes some time to dry.
You'll receive a Blender Pen and Dazzling Details in your class kit!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink onto a 1/2" wide strip of Whisper White. The ends were fish-tail cut and the phrase popped up with Dimensionals over a Cherry Cobbler Decorative Label punched shape.
I stamped the Santa Hat in Memento Ink onto Whisper White scrap card stock, colored it to match the suit, hand-cut it and popped it with Dimensionals. Did you notice that it's positioned directly over the word "Santa?" Not a coincidence!
The Inside—I love the star themes on many of of this year's holiday sets. The "joy" stars gave me a good excuse to use the Confetti Stars Border punch on the inside of this card. Love that detailed border!
Of course, I had to try all of the elements on a vertical card, too!
