Hi Stamping Friends!
It's hard to believe, but we only have a little over a week before the Last Chance retiring items are gone for good! Many items are already sold out and all of the rest of the items on the Last Chance list will be gone by May 3, or while supplies last.
One thing to note when looking at the Last Chance List…just because you see a Bundle on the list, it doesn't necessarily mean that the stamp set and coordinating die or punch is retiring. Bundles, which are discounted 10% off the cost of purchasing the items separately, are typically retired when they catalog in which they are premiered retires.
One example of this is the Whale Done Bundle. While the discounted Whale Done Bundle will be gone after May 3, the Whale Done stamp set and coordinating Whale Builder Punch will be carrying over into the new catalog. Yay! Unfortunately, many of the suite's extras will not be carrying over. In fact, the Whale of A Time Designer Series Paper has already sold out. If you hurry, you can get that discounted bundle, plus the cool coordinating Seabed 3D Embossing Folder and Whale of A Time Sequins, which are retiring. Here are a couple of ideas to get you started!

Whale Done Fishes Come True Card #1
This fun card, created by Katherine Anderson, features many of the cool products from the Whale of A Time suite! Even though the Whale of A Time Designer Series Paper is already sold out, it would be easy to substitute another DSP or simply stamp some coordinating images from the Whale Done stamp set on that front panel.
Background Basics—Katherine began with a 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" piece of Pacific Point cardstock, scored at the 4-1/4" mark. She adhered a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Whale of A Time DSP to the front. On the inside, she embossed a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Just Jade cardstock with the retiring Seabed 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it along the edge that peeks through to the front. Finally, she used the Smooth Sailing dies to die-cut some seafloor foliage using the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I love that awesome detail!
Sweet Sentiment—For the focal point, Katherine stamped the Whale Done sentiment in Pacific Point ink onto a 2" x 2-5/8" piece of Basic White. Next she added the fishes image in Calypso Coral ink and the bubbles in Just Jade. She layered that onto a 2-1/8" x 2-3/4" piece of Pacific Point cardstock, then popped up the element with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Wonderful Whale—She stamped the Whale Done whale image in Pacific Point, punched it out with the Whale Builder Punch and popped it up onto the sentiment layer. She finished by adhering some Whale of A Time Sequins with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. Adorable!
Whale Done Fishes Come True Card #2
This second card was created by Natalie Travis, and could easily be duplicated using a substitute DSP or maybe even adding that larger whale image!
Background Basics—Natalie began with a Just Jade card base and she embossed the card front using the Seabed Embossing Folder.
Focal Point—She stamped the Whale Done sentiment, along with some little fishes and bubbles, in retiring Pretty Peacock ink onto a 2-1/2" x 3" piece of Balmy Blue. She adhered a 2" x 3" piece of DSP so that it overlapped the end of the Balmy Blue piece. She wrapped a piece of Just Jade Twill Ribbon down the seam, then attached a knot of the same ribbon onto it with a Glue Dot. Finally, she adhered the layers onto a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock and popped it up onto the card front. She finished by adding some of the pretty Whale of A Time Sequins. So sweet!
