Merriest Moments Stamped Background Cards
The Merriest Moments stamp set is a beautiful collection of festive poinsettia and foliage images, along with heartwarming sentiments. The full Merriest Moments Bundle is truly a must-have, and it's a unique bundle, too! It not only features the Merriest Dies to go along with the images, it also includes the awesome Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. You can use the folder and dies TOGETHER to create gorgeous textured layers! Find out how to use them together by watching the LIVE Class Replay linked above.
For the first set of cards from the Countdown To Christmas class kit #3, I focused mainly on the images. I'll be sharing the Hybrid Folder cards on future blog posts.
Background Basics—I started by stamping the Merriest Moments leaves image in Soft Sea Foam ink all over the 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White. It's matted onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" layer of Mint Macaron. I tied some Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon around the layers, tied into a double-knot, and mounted the layers onto a Soft Sea Foam card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I die-cut a Basic White stitched rectangle with the help of the Merriest Dies and stamped a Real Red Merriest Moments sentiment on it. I popped it up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Festive Accents—I stamped three of the small holly leaves in Soft Succelent ink, and stamped the berries in Real Red ink, onto Basic White scrap cardstock. I used the Merriest Dies to cut out all the shapes, then adhered them to the label with SEAL Adhesive for the leaves and Glue Dots for the berries. I finished by adding three Real Red Rhinestones under the sentiment layer.
This card will be part of the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit.
Two Cool—My second card in this series begins the same way, except I created it in a horizontal orientation. This time, I used a different Merriest Moments sentiment, some larger holly leaves and floated the rhinestones around the sentiment.
Three Cool—On the third card, I layered the stamped layer onto a Soft Succulent piece, then mounted it onto a Cherry Cobbler card base.
Fun Accents—I adorned the bottom of the sentiment layer this time, with larger holly leaves, and added the Red Rhinestones on top of the berries to give them sparkle. The sentiment and berries are stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink to match the card base.
Four Cool—The final card from this set is like the third card, but has a different image for the background stamping. I also stamped a poinsettia flower in Soft Succulent for the accent and used the Red Rhinestones for the flower center.
