Hi Stamping Friends!

Today's project is one of the Quick & Cute Stocking Stuffers we'll be making at my December 7th class.  It's simple to make and fun to decorate for all kinds of occasions where you need a small gift.

When I was making these, I was thinking about how fantastic they would be as a party favor for a holiday party, fundraiser, wedding reception or shower.  They are just the size, and price, that it would be easy to make LOTS of them to give away as a little thank you keepsake for any event!

OK—Right away I can tell I need to put these in perspective.  These are Mini Post-It notepads, only 2" x 1-1/2".  They look much larger in the photo than they really are.

It's the Mini part that makes these so super-cute!  They have a flip cover that pulls up and tucks behind the notes for a little easel-style holder.

What a fun little decorative way to keep notes on your desk!

Note Pad Holder Instructions

  • Start with a sheet of card stock that's 2-1/4" x 8-1/2".
  • Score along the long side at 2-5/8", 3-1/8", 4-5/8", and 6".

  • Fold the first, second and fourth scores in a "valley" fold, and the third fold in a "mountain" fold.
  • Adhere that large back panel to the panel adjacent to it with Multipurpose Glue.  See the photo for reference.

  • Sticky Strip the 2" x 1-1/2" Post-It Pad toward the edge of the first panel.
  • Pop the fold at the bottom of the easel "in" so the bottom lays flat and the easel is pulled back, rather than leaning forward at an awkward angle in the previous photo.
  • Decorate!

Snowflake: I decorated my Smoky Slate holder with the Pool Party pattern of the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper.  Then, I added the smallest snowflake from the Festive Flurry Bundle, inked in Smoky Slate.  I stamped the same image again in Soft Sky and cut out the middle for a popped up center.

TIP: The popped up layers and the Large Rhinestone Jewel not only look pretty, they also add some weight to the easel front to help it sit properly behind the notes.

My Soft Sky version also uses Winter Frost DSP and opposite colors of ink. How easy is that?!!!
