Mixed Florals Calendar Easel Card
We may already be in February, but this sweet little desk calendar is still a fun little gift to give now, or put on your calendar to make for next year. I created it for my Too Cool Stampers Team as part of their Stamp & Share event kits last month. The best part about this calendar is that it is a card that is collapsible and mailable! Such a thoughtful appreciation gift.
Card Basics
I used a tutorial by Debra Harrison from Simply Sweet In Ink Designs to create this project. You can find the video tutorial here.
I started with a vertically cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Misty Moonlight card stock, scored at the 5-1/2″ mark. The easel piece is another piece of Misty Moonlight measuring 4″ x 4″ and scored at the 1/2″, 2″ and 3-1/2″ marks. I accordion folded that piece into a “W” shape, then adhered the 1/2″ ends to the inside of the card, so that the score line is flush with the edge of the card.
Background Basics
On the top of the easel card front, I adhered a 4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper. On the bottom of the card front, I embossed a 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Boho Blue cardstock with the Plaster Painting Folder and adhered it with SEAL Adhesive. Then, I tied some Petal Pink Scalloped Stitched Ribbon around the card front into a double-knot and trimmed to look like a bow.
Focal Point
I stamped a Mixed Labels sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White Mixed Labels die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.
I stamped the Mixed Florals flowers and ladybug in Memento Black ink onto Basic White, then die-cut them with the coordinating Mixed Florals dies and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. The flowers are colored with Petal Pink and Calypso Coral and the ladybug is colored with Dark Calypso Coral. The flowers are popped up with Mini Dimensionals and the ladybug is attached with a Glue Dot.
I finished with a few gold Low-Profile Dots around the sentiment.
Calendar
I purchased little calendars from Taylored Expressions and mounted them to the front with SEAL Adhesive.
I just love how it turned out and I’m definitely going to be making more of these to give out at Christmastime or sell at craft fairs. Fun, fun, fun!
