Mixed Florals Wishing You Card

I received this gorgeous swap card from Sarah Schueler. I love the simple coloring and beautiful use of layers and textures. This card features one of the two large Mixed Floral images and shows how effortlessly it can be combined with other stamp sets.

Background Basics

Sarah began by embossing a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, then mounted it onto a Delightful Daffodil card base. Next, she die-cut a Linked Together lattice piece in Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Focal Point

Sarah cut a 3-3/4″ x 1/2″ piece of Floral Delight Designer Series Paper, banner cutting the ends and adhering it with SEAL Adhesive.

She stamped the Mixed Florals large floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White and die-cut it with the coordinating Mixed Florals Dies. She did some simple coloring with Stampin’ Blends Markers: Mossy Meadow for the leaves and stems, Daffodil Delight for the flower center and a little Light Gray Granite on a few petals for shading. Oooh…so lovely! She popped it up with some Dimensionals.

Sentiment & Finishing Touches

Sarah stamped a Linked Together sentiment in Memento Black onto a 3-1/4″ x 3/8″ piece of Basic White, banner cut the ends and layered that over the floral image with SEAL and Dimensionals on the ends. The inside of the card says…”a happy day!”

She finished by adding a couple of black Sparkle Gems around the sentiment. What a wow!

Mixed Media Florals Fun-Fold Card

Karen Titus created this pretty swap card; a fun-fold with a little surprise layering element. She spotlighted the Mixed Media Florals DSP and showed it combined with other products, as well.

Background Basics

Karen started with a 1/4 sheet Granny Apple Green card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. The card is in Basic White, measuring 3-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″. She folded it and adhered it to the Granny Apple Green card base with SEAL.

Card Front Décor

Karen layered a 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Mixed Media Florals DSP onto a 3″ x 4″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock and mounted the layers onto the card front.

Sweet Sentiment

She stamped a Twisted In Time sentiment in Old Olive ink onto an oval die-cut. It’s popped up and decorated with a Regal Foiled Dot in green.

Inside The Card

Karen offered a surprise layer on the inside of the card with the addition of a 4-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Mixed Media Florals DSP across the center. She added a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle die-cut with a Simply Said sentiment stamped in Old Olive ink. So fun!
