Mixed Florals Glad We’re Friends Card
Oooh, this Mixed Floral class card is so bright & cheery! The best part is that you can color the focal point any way you like! I have Daffodil Delight & Boho Blue flowers, but you could try Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon, Lemon Lolly, Coastal Cabana, Petal Pink, Blueberry Bushel, Azure Afternoon, white or any of your favorite complementary or contrasting colors! Experiment with your own look!
Background Basics
I started by adding a 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Mixed Media Floral Designer Series Paper along the left side of a the Calypso Coral card base.
Next, I embossed a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Calypso Coral cardstock with the Plaster Painting Embossing Folder. It’s layered onto a 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock. I tied some Daffodil Delight 1/8″ Satin Ribbon around the layers, into a double-knot, before mounting it onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Focal Point
I stamped the large Mixed Florals and little lady bug images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock. Then, I used Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in: Daffodil Delight for the large flower petals, Poppy Parade for the flower centers and lady bug, Old Olive for the leaves and stems and Boho Blue for the small flowers. I used the light colors from the Blends Marker combo first, then added some shading with the dark color. I didn’t do any blending with the light color to smooth out the shading this time. It’s a different kind of look to try.
I die-cut the images with the Mixed Florals Dies and popped them up with Dimensionals (or Mini Dimensionals for the lady bug).
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Mixed Labels sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes die-cut. It’s attached with Dimensionals and SEAL adhesive. Delightful!
