Nature’s Harvest & Upcoming Blessings!

Hi Stamping Friends!

My Facebook feed is filled with photos of kids going back to school, moving down to college and all of the telltale signs of the end of summer. While we are sure to have many hot summer days left, it seems like autumn is fast approaching! Fall is awesome…my favorite time of year! Falling leaves, crisp air, cuddly sweaters and campfires…I love it all! This fall is looking to be the best one yet, because my husband and I have something extra-special to be thankful for! We are expecting a little baby girl around Thanksgiving! This is our first and I'm still finding it hard to believe that in just a few months I'll be holding my little girl in my arms! My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with anticipation!

As we get ready for the birth of our baby, and in the initial months afterward, my stamping time will most certainly be affected. If you notice that lately I'm not blogging every day or doing LIVE Classes every week, it's simply because we are busy getting things ready for our little one and I'm working a little slower these days to keep baby and me healthy. Rest assured, I'm not going anywhere! I love stamping and will be working on achieving a balance that allows me to be both a stamper and a mom.

I do want to give you a heads up on my maternity leave. I plan to take some time off between November 15 and January 31. During this time, I will not be having scheduled classes or daily blog posts. However, I will certainly be peeking my head in now and then to keep you updated on Stampin' Up! news and promotions, like the next Sale-a-Bration beginning again in January. You will not miss a thing! I'll also be available to assist in taking orders and handling questions you may have. And, of course, I'll share what's happening with our new arrival and how things are going with us!

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding during this very exciting time for our family! I've been so very blessed to have my awesome customers and team members support me through many ups and downs over the past 17 years. It's difficult for me to have to step back from my business, even for a short time and for such a wonderful reason! I am blessed to LOVE what I do every day and fully enjoy this as a full-time career! In the past two years alone, I've seen tremendous growth in my business and it's all because of YOU! Thank you so very much!

One of the best things about working with Stampin' Up! is the flexibility that it gives me in my business. I have dozens of friends who signed up with Stampin' Up! when they started having a family because it was a job that was versatile enough to do in between the responsibilities of motherhood. I have faith that I'll be able to find a good work/family balance, too!  Although my schedule will obviously look a little different in the coming months, I'm looking forward to stamping with you for many years to come!

Countdown To Christmas Update—I will be starting my annual Countdown To Christmas classes a little earlier this year, so that everything can wrap up by mid November. That means you'll have plenty of time to get those holiday cards done early…no procrastinating! Haha! I'll have complete details about this 4-part series coming up later in the week, including official timing and which stamp sets I'll be featuring.

Natures Harvest - jacobsSwap card created by Tracy Jacobs.

Nature's Harvest Thank You Card
Tracy Jacobs sent me the simple and sweet thank you card featuring the beautiful new Harvest Meadow Suite. I love the autumn patterns and pretty nature images from this collection. Her card is simple and sweet!

Background Basics—Tracy's card begins with three 1" x 4" strips of a Misty Moonlight pattern from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper. The strips are adhered to a 3-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White and mounted onto a Misty Moonlight card base.

Sweet Focal Point—Tracy stamped the Nature's Harvest flowers in Misty Moonlight ink onto Basic White, die-cut it with the Layering Circles Dies and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment—She finished by stamping a Nature's Harvest greeting in Misty Moonlight onto a 2" x 3/4" piece of Basic White and popping that up as well, tucking the end under the raised circle. What a lovely card with just stamps, ink and paper!

Nature's Harvest Healing Thoughts Card
Leann Greff also created a simple card with the same suite, once again just using stamps, ink and paper! I love that you don't need a lot of layers and embellishments to make a pretty card!

Background Basics—Leann started by stamping the smaller Nature's Harvents wildflower image in Soft Succulent ink all over a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Succulent cardstock. It's mounted onto an Evening Evergreen card base. Next, she stamped the featured image in Soft Succulent onto a Very Vanilla Stitched Rectangles die-cut and adhered that to the center of the card with SEAL Adhesive.

Sweet Sentiment—For the sentiment, she stamped it in Evening Evergreen ink onto a long Very Vanilla label cut with the Harvest Dies. It's layered onto a 5/8" wide strip of Evening Evergreen cardstock, adhered to the front with SEAL, then trimmed flush along the sides of the card. Love it!

In view of that, and my beyond happiness for you, I would love to send a gift as baby gets closer. May I have your address? Would never abuse it, give it out and will throw away after if you want. Taking the time for you and your husband is a given, there is always more time to do your stamping after things have settled down in your family. You and baby are the most important.
