NEW Blog & Earthen Textures Thanks Card

I’m Back & My Blog Has Found A New Home!

Over the past week, my blog website has moved over to another blog hosting site that is much more dependable and offers much more flexibility in how to navigate the content! Like any move, it’s going to take a little time for me to get my new blog home unpacked, decorated and livable!

The biggest change you may notice first is that you can now quickly scroll through excerpts of my most recent posts on the home page. I love this new feature, because it easily allows you to find the most recent project that interests you!

Over the new few weeks, I’ll be doing some “decorating” with some updated graphics and colors (because most of my current logo colors have retired—haha). I’ll also be tweaking some of the tabs and sidebar links to allow you to more easily access that info you want most.

In the meantime, take a look around, make yourself comfortable and pardon the dust as I get settled into my new surroundings.

Paper Share Details Coming Soon!

Yes, I’ll be doing a Paper Share for the upcoming Mini Catalog. I was hoping to get this info up last week, but everything was delayed with the my blog site migration project. So, I’m hoping to get the details up by this weekend. The timing all depends on my learning curve for using this new blog site…

Earthen Textures Thank You Cards

Here is another pair of cards from my Earthen Textures LIVE Class! I’m loving all of the beautiful textures and patterns that you can create for the pots alone! I kept these pots filled with a simple single image or die-cut. Consider taking your cards to the next level with multiple branches, sprigs and twigs! It’s so fun to experiment!

Background Basics

This card begins with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that’s been embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder. I added a 4″ x 1-1/4″ piece of Copper Clay across the bottom to anchor the pots to the “floor” of the card. The layers are adhered to a Pretty Peacock card base with SEAL Adhesive.

Pretty Pots

I used the Earthen Textures Dies to die-cut a small pot in Pebbled Path cardstock, a handle in Pebbled Path cardstock, a tall pot in Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper and another small pot in Pretty Peacock. The Pebbled Path pot was stamped with the Earthen Textures image in Pebbled Path ink. I adhered the handles to it, then added a small strip of Natural Wavy Trim across it. The tall pot was trimmed off on the top to make it a bit shorter. The Pretty Peacock pot was also trimmed off to be a really small pot, then embossed with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

I stamped the branch trio in Pretty Peacock ink onto Basic White, die-cut it and adhered it to the Pebbled Path pot, popping it up with Dimensionals. I die-cut a Pretty Peacock fan leaf die-cut, adhered it to the tall pot and added it with SEAL. The final branch is stamped in Gray Granite ink, die-cut and added behind the Pretty Peacock pot, then popped up, too.

Finishing Touches

I stamped the Earthen Textures sentiment in Copper Clay ink onto a 3/8″ strip of Basic White, trimmed the ends and popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a few gold Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins around the foliage. So lovely!

Two Cool

Peggy Tassler created this second version of the same card layout using the Countryside Inn DSP for the color combination. She adhered a 4″ x 1-1/4″ piece of Misty Moonlight across a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Countryside Inn DSP, then mounted it onto a Boho Blue card front.

Pretty Pots

She created a small Boho Blue pot, stamped in with the Earthen Textures image in Misty Moonlight ink. She added a Boho Blue handle and a strip of the Misty Moonlight Inner Braid Ribbon across the front. It holds a Misty Moonlight stamped branch. The tall pot is die-cut from Countryside Inn DSP, then filled with a Night of Navy die-cut fan leaf. The final pot is also Night of Navy, embossed with the Quatrefoil Folder and filled with a Boho Blue stamped branch.

Finishing Touches

The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy and the card is decorated with Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems from the 3-pack. Pretty, pretty, pretty!
