Swap card created by Too Cool Team member Kathe Madsen.
Kathe Madsen created this elegant card using both the Noble Peacock DSP and Foil sheets in Old Olive. The shiny accents upgrade a pretty card to a stunning card!
Background Basics—Kathe started with a vertically-folded Pear Pizzazz card base. She adhered a 4-1/4" long strip of scrap Basic Black cardstock behind the top of a 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" piece of Old Olive Noble Peacock Specialty Paper.
Stamped Panels—Kathe randomly stamped one of the Pop of Petals flower images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink over a 2" x 5" piece of Pear Pizzazz. She filled in the blank spaces with a leaf image from the same set, also in Memento Black. Then, she cut the images down to 1" x 5" strips and mounted each onto a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black cardstock and popped them up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—Kathe stamped the Painted Harvest greeting in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then punched with the Tailored Tag Punch. She punched a second Tailored Tag shape from the Noble Peacock Old Olive Foil Sheet, cut it in half length-wise and positioned the halves peeking out of the top and bottom of the sentiment layer. It's popped up with more Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Kathe finished the card with a couple of matching Noble Peacock Rhinestones in Old Olive. Perfect!
Swap card created by Too Cool Team member Kathe Madsen.
Kathe Madsen's second swap card features a cool technique called emboss resist! It also features the Old Olive Noble Peacock Foil, which looks just as amazing with Granny Apple Green as is does with Pear Pizzazz on the first card! How versatile!
Background Basics—Kathe started by adding a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White layer onto a Granny Apple Green card base.
Emboss Resist—Kathe randomly stamped the Daisy Lane branch image in VersaMark sticky clear ink over a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White, then embossing it with Clear Embossing Powder using a Heat Tool. Next, she sponged some Granny Apple Green ink over the images to bring out the white branches. Finally, she stamped the same branch image in Granny Apple Green in between the embossed images for awesome layering texture. The layer was adhered to the card front with SNAIL.
Sweet Sentiment—Kathe stamped the Band Together greeting in Granny Apple Green onto the right side of a 3-3/4" x 1" strip of Whisper White, then adhered it with SNAIL.
Delightful Daisy—She stamped the Daisy Lane medium daisy flower in Granny Apple Green onto Whisper White cardstock, then punched it with the Medium Daisy Punch. It's layered onto an Old Olive Noble Peacock Foil flower punched with the coordinating Daisy Punch. The flowers are attached with a Glue Dot, then topped with a Clear Faceted Gem. She also added a few Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins onto the background. So pretty!
