Hi Stamping Friends!

Last night, I had the privilege of hosting our Too Cool Team Stamp & Share event! I love spending time with my stamping family and we had a fantastic turnout!

I'm always so inspired by all of the amazing project ideas that are shared at our Show & Tell! And, holy cow, these ladies have been busy getting their creative on this month!

We always end our event by creating some cute make & takes! This month's projects featured the Perennial Birthday stamp set.

We had some awesome presentations, as well. Darla Eigenschink captivated everyone as she shared some tips on using the NEW Stamparatus stamp positioning tool coming out June 1 in the new Annual Catalog.

Jodi Geers was another presenter this month and shared her excitement & enthusiasm about class prep! THIS…is how I feel when I hang out with Too Cool Team, too!

Petal Passion Monogram Sticky Note Holders

All attendees at our team event receive a table gift as a little thank you from me! This month, Peggy Tassler and I designed a cute monogramp sticky note holder decorated with the sweet Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.

There is just something extra-special about receiving a gift that is personalized with your initial! I love monogrammed papercrafted projects and they are perfect for so many occasions: wedding favors, bridesmaid gifts, part of a "thinking of you" gift basket, a gift for a boss or co-worker, teacher appreciation gift, birthdays…and SO much more!

Note Holder Basics—This note holder is designed to hold a half pack (50 sheets) of 3" x 5" sticky notes like Post-Its. The base was created from a 5-1/4" x 8-1/2" piece of Basic Black cardstock, scored with the Simply Scored tool along the 8-1/2" side on the 3-1/8", 3-3/8", 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" marks. Fold on the score lines and crease with a Bone Folder. Adhere the sticky notes along the 3-3/8" score line with Tear & Tape Adhesive. The extra flap on the right gives the holder a more finished look and protects the note pad from corner creasing when it's stored inside your purse.

Holder Décor—The front of the note holder is decorated with two patterns of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper, cut into 1-1/4" x 2-3/8" rectangles. They are spaced apart so that a black border shows around each panel and adhered with SNAIL adhesive. We wrapped a 21" piece of Whisper White Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the holder, securing it to the front, underneath the monogram, with a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive. That gives you plenty of ribbon to easily tie a bow closure.

We experimented with different contrasting patterns from the Petal Passion DSP—lots of awesome combinations!

Monogram Medallion—We die-cut a 2-3/4" high Whisper White Stitched Shapes oval for a foundation for the monogram. It's layered onto a Silver Foil Layering Ovals scallop oval in the next size up, and popped up over the ribbon with Dimensionals. Next, we die-cut the Basic Black monogram using the Large Letters Framelits, popping that up with more Dimensionals.

This photo shows another fun DSP combination that we tried.

Finishing Touches—The little flower accent was die-cut with the Petals & More Thinlits. The die has a couple leaves on it, but we just snipped those off for a simple flower. It's attached to the letter with a Glue Dot, then topped with a Clear Faceted Gem.
