Rainbows of Happiness You Make Me Happy Cards
The Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper is so bright and cheery! I wanted to showcase many of the patterns, so I used blocks of paper to create a delightful backdrop for the rainbow. If you're getting my LIVE Class Kit, you'll be able to make BOTH of these cards! Yay!
Background Basics—I began by adhering panels of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White. The panels measure 2-1/4" x 3-1/4", 2-1/4" x 1-3/4" and 1-1/2" x 5-1/8". I adhered the background layer to a Mango Melody card base, then tied some Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon around the card front.
Focal Point—I die-cut a Basic White circle and Gold Foil scallop circle with the Layering Circles Dies, then I adhered them together and mounted them onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive. I stamped the rainbow onto Basic White cardstock, starting with the larger Pool Party band, and adding a Flirty Flamingo and Mango Melody band inside. I hand-cut it with super-sharp Paper Snips and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I stamped a Rainbows of Happiness sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 3" x 3/8" strip of Pool Party cardstock, banner cut the ends and popped it up with Mini Dimensionals. I finished by adding three gold Metallic Pearls to the bands of color on the rainbow.
Two Cool—The second card begins with a Flirty Flamingo card base and a different combination of Sunshine & Rainbows patterns. I tied some Misty Moonlight & Silver twine from the Flower For Every Season Ribbon Trim Pack around the card front.
Finishing Touches—The rainbow is stamped in the same colors in a different order and layered onto a Misty Moonlight scalloped circle. I finished this one with Basic Rhinestones and a Basic White cloud die-cut with the Brilliant Rainbows Dies. That little cloud makes the rainbow so adorable!
