Rainbows of Happiness Z-Fold Cards
I love to make Z-Fold cards when I want to show off some coordinating Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers, like the ones in the Sunshine & Rainbows pack.
Background Basics—This card begins with a 4-1/4" x 11" Basic White Thick card base that's scored at the 2-3/4" and 5-1/2" marks and folded into a "Z" shape. I decorated the front panel with a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP and another 2-1/2" x 4" piece was put on the inside right.
Focal Point—I stamped the Rainbows of Happiness images onto a 3-5/8" x 2-1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock, starting with the largest band in Bermuda Bay ink. I stamped the greeting next in Magenta Madness, then smaller bands in Mango Melody and Pool Party. I finished by stamping the three small hearts in the center in Magenta Madness. It was mounted onto a Magenta Madness Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectangle die-cut, then popped up onto the left panel with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I die-cut a few Basic White clouds with the Brilliant Rainbows Dies and adhere them to the rainbow with SEAL adhesive. I finished by adding a few Rhinestone Jewels.
Inside The Card—To make it easy to know where to write, I added a 3-5/8" x 2-1/2" piece of Pool Party cardstock. I would have used white, but you could see the contrasting Bermuda Bay pattern through it, so I liked the more opaque Pool Party cardstock better.
Two Cool—My second version begins with a Misty Moonlight card base and is decorated with Misty Moonlight and Flirty Flamingo patterns of the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP.
Focal Point—This time, I stamped the largest rainbow color in Mango Melody, the sentiment in Misty Moonlight and the smaller bands in Magenta Madness and Coastal Cabana. The hearts in the middle are inked in Flirty Flamingo. It's all layered onto a Coastal Cabana Stitched So Sweetly die-cut.
Inside The Card—I used Basic White on the inside of this card and stamped it with more Flirty Flamingo hearts.
