Thank You!  So, I want to give a huge shout-out to all of my stamping friends who joined us at the Occasions Kickoff Party yesterday!  Michelle and I had a fabulous time and I hope that everyone really enjoyed making the 20 cards!  So much fun!  Thank you for being a part of it! 

Today, we are checking out another sneak peek card from our event! 

Of the people I asked at our Kickoff Party last night, this Sheltering Tree card was definitely one of the favorites of the night!  It was a "sleeper hit" for sure!  The stamp set doesn't get a lot of fan fair in the new catalog, but most everyone mentioned it as a top pick of our 20 cards.  Maybe it was partially due to our wintery, snowy weather we were having yesterday.  It sure was a fitting scene for the day!  

Inspired by a combination of cards on page 22 of the 2015 Occasions Catalog. 

SNEAK PEEK #1: Sheltering Tree Stamp Set—This set features a bare tree image and includes leaves, flowers, a swing, a bicycle and other tree trimmings to represent all four seasons.  It also has four lovely, all-occasion phrases making it a very versatile set for any time of the year!  

Tree Trio—I started my winter scene by stamping the tree image three times in Early Espresso ink onto a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" square piece of Whisper White.  I only inked once, then stamped the image three times without re-inking to make some of the trees look farther away.

Snowy Ground—Next, I stamped the snow swoosh image in Smoky Slate to make the landscape.  I also inked this one once and stamped it three times without re-inking.  Then, I sponged on some Soft Sky ink over the snowy hills to make them a little more distinct.

Glittering Snowflakes—The set comes with an image of a cluster of tiny snowflakes, so I added Soft Sky flakes over the entire image.  But, I thought it needed a little sparkle, too, so I dotted my 2-Way Glue Pen over the entire piece and sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds gliter.  Oh what fun! 

I also drew over the hills with the glue pen for glistening snow banks.

Warm Sentiment—The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso on a 1/2" wide strip of Whisper White, then trimmed to fit and fish-tailed on the ends.  It's popped up with Dimensionals.

I designed the focal point to be able to go in either direction on the card.  It's matted on a 4-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Smoky Slate card stock, then adhered to a Soft Sky card base.
