Sending Smiles Flower Trio Cards
All of the NEW 2022-2024 In Colors look fabulous with many colors from both the Brights Collection and the 2021-2023 In Colors. On today's cards, I show a couple of my favorite color combinations that go with Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis. There are so many possibilities! Experiment with different colors when you start creating with this stamp set!
Background Basics—This first card is part of both the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit and the Parakeet Party month of my In Color Club. The background begins with a 1-3/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Parakeet Party Designer Series Paper adhered to a Parakeet Party card base.
Stamped Layer—I stamped two of the Sending Smiles double flower stems in Parakeet Party ink onto a 4-1/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Basic White, careful to leave appropriate room for the sentiment. Next I added in the flowers: Polished Pink for the large flower, Fresh Freesia for the one beside the large flower and Flirty Flamingo on the last flower. The flower centers were all stamped with Pale Papaya ink. I finished by filling in the blank areas along the bottom with more leaves in Parakeet Party ink.
Finishing The Focal Point—I stamped the large Sending image in Memento Black ink onto Basic White, then die cut it with the Sending dies. I positioned it across the top, then stamped the coordinating sentiment in Memento Black under it.
I adhered the stamped layer onto a 4-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic Black, then tied some Black & White Gingham Ribbon around the layers. It's popped up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding the Sending die-cut across the top with Multipurpose Glue and two Dimensionals on the end.
Two Cool—I recreated the same card using a different combination of colors. I started with an Orchid Oasis card base and matching DSP for the background.
Focal Point—The flowers are stamped in Coastal Cabana, Orchid Oasis and Fresh Freesia this time, with the same Pale Papaya centers and Parakeet Party leaves. The sentiment is in Orchid Oasis, and so is the Metallic Weave Ribbon. It's layered onto Starry Sky cardstock.Shop Project Supplies List
