Hi Stamping Friends!
Too Cool Stamping is going on the road today for a private class! I love working with my hostesses to customize a class that's perfect for her and her friends. Today's hostess, Angie L. (not me, another one!), helped me pick out the cards that we'll be making at her class.
I think you've already seen most of these projects, but I realized that I never posted the first one, which was also part of my Kickoff Party last month. Today we'll take a closer look at this fabulous monochromatic card!

I have never used Sahara Sand very much in the past, but I'm really diggin' this color combined with Whisper White. It's so stunning and elegant! It is absolutely perfect for wedding and anniversary projects, but it also is lovely for birthdays and thinking of you cards!
Background Basics—Doesn't the background of this card look like Designer Series Paper? It's really the gorgeous Something Lacy background stamp! Now, I've been stamping for 12 years and I've see a lot of cool stamps, but the first time I put this stamp to paper, it took my breath away! It is SO unexpectedly BEAUTIFUL! I had several attendees of my Kickoff Party tell me the same thing. I know you thought you didn't need this one…but, you do!
I stamped the image in Sahara Sand onto a 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Whisper White then matted that on a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Sahara Sand card stock.
TIP: For best results for stamping with a background stamp, lay your stamp rubber-side-up on the table and ink it. Then lay your card stock on top, hold it in place and burnish over the entire piece.
Terrific Texture—Before adhering my background onto the Whisper White card base, I wrapped some of the coarsely textured White Jute Ribbon around the back and adhered it with SNAIL. This ribbon is actually 1-1/4" wide, but I sliced down the center of it to make it a thinner for this card.
Happy Accents—I used the new Hello You Thinlits to make the delicate Sahara Sand focal point. It's adhered to the Whisper White Labels Collection Framelit die-cut shape with some light dabs of Multipurpose Glue.
TIP: To help the die-cut release from the thinlit, I placed a piece of wax paper between the die and the card stock. Then, I ran the die through the Big Shot 4 times. Depending on the calibration of your machine, you may have to add a piece of card stock as a shim to have some extra pressure. Mine came out of the thinlit very easily!
Sweet Sentiment—I used the Crazy About You coordinating stamps to finish the sentiment. I love this huge stamp set! You get 33 stamps that you can mix & match with the Hello You Thinlits to make phrases for all sorts of occasions! It's also available in all three stamp styles: wood, clear & photopolymer!

Petite Blooms—I punched a couple of Sahara Sand mini flowers from the Petite Petals Punch and curled the petals with a Bone Folder before attaching them with Glue Dots. They are finished off with some Pearl Jewels…another perfect accent for a wedding card!
These elements look fantastic in either direction!
I made the second one into a pretty birthday card! So sweet!
