I have something extra special to share today! Since I don't sew, I asked my Other Mother, Dawn Gerardot Putman, to create one of her awesome quilted boxes with Spice Cake Designer Fabric.
Just look at what she created for me!
Wow! It's a box that's big enough to hold my cards! Too Cool!
She used some of my matching retired Designer Buttons and Pool Party Seam Binding to embellish the lid.
There's extra batting on top to make it very dimensional. I LOVE all the details!
A couple of retired Trinket Keys dangle off the side. And, that stitching reminds me of the In Stitches Jumbo Wheel. How did she know that?!! Awesome!
Here is the back. Man, I love the colors in this fabric!
She even has the inside beautifully lined!
Here is the box with cards inside—PERFECT!
Thank you SO VERY MUCH for this amazing keepsake, Dawn! I absolutely adore my new Spice Cake Fabric Card Box!
My O-Mom is so talented! See more of Dawn Gerardot's work at the Orchard Gallery in Fort Wayne, IN. She's got a whole series of "Sew Do I" quilted boxes!

This is an amazingly beautifully crafted box! I don’t think I can sew one like she did. But I’m going to Pin this for eye candy anyways… you know, just in case one day I get really good at sewing… 🙂
