Spice Cake Fabric Quilted Card Box

I have something extra special to share today!  Since I don't sew, I asked my Other Mother, Dawn Gerardot Putman, to create one of her awesome quilted boxes with Spice Cake Designer Fabric.

Just look at what she created for me!

Fabric - too cool box

Wow!  It's a box that's big enough to hold my cards!  Too Cool!

Fabric - box top

She used some of my matching retired Designer Buttons and Pool Party Seam Binding to embellish the lid.

Fabric - top 2

There's extra batting on top to make it very dimensional.  I LOVE all the details!

Fabric - box side keys

A couple of retired Trinket Keys dangle off the side.  And, that stitching reminds me of the In Stitches Jumbo Wheel. How did she know that?!!  Awesome!

Fabric - box back

Here is the back.  Man, I love the colors in this fabric!

Fabric - box inside

She even has the inside beautifully lined!

Fabric - box with cards

Here is the box with cards inside—PERFECT!

My O-Mom is so talented!  See more of Dawn Gerardot's work at the Orchard Gallery in Fort Wayne, IN. She's got a whole series of "Sew Do I" quilted boxes!

  1. This is an amazingly beautifully crafted box! I don’t think I can sew one like she did. But I’m going to Pin this for eye candy anyways… you know, just in case one day I get really good at sewing… 🙂
