Stippled Roses Blends Congrats Cards
The images from the Stippled Roses stamp set are perfect for coloring with all kinds of cool techniques. Of course, my favorite is to use Stampin’ Blends Markers! These cards feature the smallest rose image, so there isn’t much to color, but it gives you a taste of the fun of shading with these alcohol-based markers. The cards also feature more patterns from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper that coordinates so perfectly with this stamp set.

Background Basics
I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored down the center at the 4-1/4″ mark. I decorated the front with a 4″ x 3″ piece of Softly Stippled DSP on the top, then added another pattern from the pack measuring 4″ x 2-1/4″ on the bottom. I adhered a 4″ x 1/2″ strip of Wild Wheat cardstock across the “seam” of the papers for a nice finished look.
Focal Point Foundation
I die-cut two labels with the Thoughtful Expressions Dies: a larger label shape in Lost Lagoon and a smaller scalloped circle shape in Basic White. I popped the Lost Lagoon label up with Dimensionals for a focal point foundation. Next, I die-cut a Stippled Roses leafy branch in Wild Wheat, cut the branch into two parts and adhere it onto the backside of the white die-cut. I have a larger part of the branch coming out of the top and a smaller twig coming out of the bottom. I mounted the piece onto the label with some SEAL Adhesive.
Pretty Rose
I stamped the small Stippled Rose image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White. Once it was completely dry, I colored it with Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used Light Pool Party Blends on the flower, shaded with light Lost Lagoon. For the leaves, I filled in with Light Old Olive first, then shaded with Light Mossy Meadow. I didn’t really blend the colors; just added the darker color over the parts of the image that already had shading.
Next, I die-cut the rose with the Stippled Roses Dies and popped it up onto the Basic White circle.
Finishing Touches
I stamped a Stippled Roses sentiment in Memento Black onto a 2-5/8″ x 3/4″ piece of Basic White and adhered it directly to the label with SEAL. I finished by adding a few Wild Wheat In Color Dots around the flower.
Two Cool
I changed out the colors on this second version that begins with a Pebbled Path card base. I chose two different matching patterns of Softly Stippled DSP to decorate the front and added a Gray Granite strip to finish the seam.
Focal Point
This time, the label is in Pebbled Path and the leaves are in Gray Granite. I colored the rose with Light Petal Pink and Light Calypso Coral Blends and the leaves in Light Old Olive Blends with no shading.
Finishing Touches
I finished with the same sentiment and gems as the original card above. So lovely!
