Sunshine & Rainbows of Happiness Fun Fold Cards

Hi Stamping Friends!

One of the most popular Sale-a-Bration items so far has been the bright & cheery Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper. It's designed to coordinate with the Rainbows of Happiness Bundle. Today, I'm sharing two ways you can use the papers along with the dies to create a cool layered effect.

Background Basics—Start with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at the 2-3/4" and 5-1/2" marks. Fold in a "Z" shape. Adhere a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White to the inside of the card and a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Basic White to the front flap. Next adhere 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" pieces of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP to the front flap, as well as the right side of the inside card.

Focal Point—Die cut the small rainbow using the Brilliant Rainbows die from the middle of a 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Basic White. Stamp a Rainbow of Happiness sentiment under the window in Bermuda Bay ink. Then, cut out a small coordinating rainbow from the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP and adhere it behind the die-cut window.  Layer the rainbow onto a 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and pop up onto the front card flap only with SEAL Adhesive or Dimensionals. Remember: Earn the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP for FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration thru February 28, 2022.

Finishing Touches—Die-cut the same mini rainbow shape from Pool Party cardstock and the second arch to the card front to cover up the green strip of the rainbow, so the rainbow matches better. Finish by brushing on some Wink of Stella sparkle to the rainbow colors.

Sunshine & Rainbows Interactive Pocket Card
Deb Snyder sent me this lovely swap card featuring the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Papers. I absolutely adore this card's fun design! It's a pocket card and the clouds overlap the pocket!

Pocket Card Base—The pocket of the card begins with a traditional 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Pool Party card base that's scored at the 4-1/4" mark. The card is adhered completely closed to provide a sturdy foundation for the pocket. Next, Deb scored a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP at the 1/2" mark. She folded that 1/2" side back and adhered that down, then attached the piece onto the Pool Party card base along three sides with Tear & Tape Adhesive to create the pocket.

Mini Card—The card that goes into the pocket starts with a 7" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock, scored at the 3-1/2" mark.

Card Front Décor—Deb adhered a 3" x 2-1/2" piece of rainbow striped Sunshine & Rainbows DSP onto the card front. Next, she die-cut a small rainbow on a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White with the Brilliant Rainbow dies and adhered that over the top so the rainbow stripes show through.

Cloud Closure—Deb punched out two Basic White cloud shapes with the Cloud Punch and stamped a Special Moments Sale-a-Bration stamp set sentiment in Memento ink onto one cloud. Remember: Earn the Special Moments stamp set for FREE with a $100 order during Sale-a-Bration thru February 28, 2022.

Next she adhered the clouds under the rainbow to create a cool closure. Here's the trick: she placed the mini card into the pocket first, then added two Dimensionals to the horizontal center of each cloud and adhered them onto the card front so the clouds are overlapping the pocket edge when the card is inserted. What a cool little feature! She finished by tying a Pool Party Sheer Ribbon bow and attaching it to the cloud with a Glue Dot.

Inside The Card—Deb stamped the Special Moments sentiment in Memento Black ink onto the inside of the card. She also cut out a tiny rainbow from the DSP and adhered it above the sentiment.
