Too Kind Too Cool Color Challenge

Here are my projects inspired from this awesome color combo:

My cards feature the pretty two-step flowers from the Too Kind stamp, along a color palette of Blackberry Bliss, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Hello Honey. 

I have to tell you I struggled with how to get all those gorgeous colors to work together.  I'm still not happy with the way these turned out.  I probably should have added some Wisteria Wonder or Smoky Slate small flowers around the larger flowers.  The focal point looks disconnected from the rest of the card somehow.  Help!  What do you think would make it look better?

Background Basics—I embossed a 5-1/2" x 2-3/4" piece of Perfect Plum with the Chevron Folder, then added a decorative edges with the Finishing Touches Edgelits in Basic Gray.  Those are layered onto a 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss.

Wisteria Bow—I wrapped those layers with Wisteria Wonder Seam Binding, adhering the ends behind the card stock.  At the place where I wanted the bow to go, I pinched the ribbon together and secured it to the card front with a Glue Dot, then I added a separate, pre-tied bow to the top with a Glue Dot.  The two pieces come together to look like a real tied bow. 

Once the ribbon was on, I adhered all the layers to the Wisteria Wonder card base.

Focal Point—I stamped the Too Kind flower stems in Basic Gray first, then added the flower images in Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White.  I really liked the flower pattern from the inspiration photo, but I couldn't replicate it the way I wanted to with the images I had on hand.  The Stippled Blossoms would have been perfect, but I don't have that set.  It was keeping me stumped.

Gold Oval Frame—I die-cut the focal point with the Ovals Collection Framelits, then die-cut another oval from the Brushed Gold Card Stock.  Before adhering the two together, I added some decorative score lines around the edges of the oval to mimic the gold oval mirror in the inspiration photo.

Sentiment—I finished the card with a Gifts of Kindness sentiment, stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Smoky Slate and die-cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits.
