I love Spring! All this warm weather and rain is certainly making the trees come alive again with beautiful shades of green! It inspired me to celebrate by making a card with the Trendy Trees set! Card Details
I've been hoarding my 1/4" Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brads ever since the Mini Occasions Catalog came out, but I guess it's finally time to use them up. I love how the flower brad mimics the shape of the tree below it! The sentiments are from the Tiny Tags set from the Mini and they work great on small spaces like these 1-1/4" squares.
To make the squares look more leaf-like, I rounded opposite corners with the Corner Rounder Punch. The Funky Forest Stampin' Around Wheel adds a nice coordinating background accent.
With so many colors retiring in a few short months, I thought it'd be appropriate to start focusing on some of these colors before they are gone for good. In this card, along with So Saffron, Garden Green, and Certainly Celery which are staying, I've used Close To Cocoa, Handsome Hunter and Dusty Durango…all retiring June 30.

Two Cool Cards Contest
When I'm making cards I try to always make two versions. Two reasons: 1) So my workshop attendees can see how to use the same ingredients to create two different cards, and 2) To give one, and keep one! Brilliant, I know. But, it gives me an idea…
