I love the pretty collage of Tropical Chic flowers on this fancy fold card. It's so easy to create with the Tropical dies from the bundle, and although the Tropical Chic stamps and matching dies will be carrying over into the new catalog, that discounted bundle will be retiring on June 3. The pretty, coordinating Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper will also be retiring, as well as the big, bold sentiments in the Life is Grand stamp set. Get them today before they are gone for good!
Step-By-Step Instructions:
- Score 11” x 4 ¼” piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock at 5 ½. From one side of card base, cut off half – 2 ¾ x 4 ¼” piece. Save this piece for the sentiment.
- Adhere 2 ½” x 4” Tropical Escape DSP to the front panel of the card
- Adhere a 5 ¼” x 4” piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card.
- Stamp a Life Is Grand sentiment in Blushing Bride ink onto a 4” x 2 ½” piece of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere to the piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock you cut from step 1.
- Adhere sentiment with Dimensionals to the card front (put dimensionals only on the left side).
- Stamp Tropical Chic images onto Whisper White cardstock: big leaf in Shaded Spruce, small one in Granny Apple Green and 2 flowers in Blushing Bride.
- Die cut the Tropical Chic images with the Tropical dies and the Big Shot.
- Add one flower with a Dimensional to the top right corner of sentiment and the rest of the die-cuts to the bottom left of the sentiment.
- Add 3 Artisan Pearls to the center of each flower.

Have you noticed that frame elements are so trendy right now? It's because the Rectangle Stitched dies have been wildly popular since their release in January! I love how this raised frame creates an elegant foundation to the Tropical Chic floral focal point. The Rectangle Stitched dies are current part of the Amazing Life bundle, which will be retiring on June 3, but you'll still be able to purchase the dies by themselves in the new Annual Catalog.
Step-By-Step Instructions:
- Sponge Blushing Bride ink into a blended circle on a 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White Cardstock piece. Adhere piece to the Granny Apple Green card base using Snail Adhesive.
- Cut a rectangle frame from the pink pattern of Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper by running it through the Big Shot using two nesting Stitched Rectangle Framelits. You can run both dies through at the same time. (Use the 4th and 5th of the larger dies together to make the frame.)
- Attach the frame to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the Tropical Chic sentiment inside the frame in Shaded Spruce ink.
- Stamp Tropical Chic images onto Whisper White cardstock: 2 leaves in Granny Apple Green ink and 3 flowers in Blushing Bride ink. Two of the flowers are “stamped off” so they are lighter
- Die cut those images using the Tropical Thinlits Dies and attach around the frame like in the picture. I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals for one leaf and the two lighter flowers to make it pop!
- Add Rhinestone Jewels to the flower centers.
- Add an Old Olive Linen Thread bow to your card to finish it off.
