I had a lot of fun designing completely different cards using the same basic layout for my LIVE Class last week! It goes to show you just how awesome it can be to CASE (copy) a card design that you find cool! Try it!
Background Basics—I embossed the 5-1/4" x 4" Sahara Sand background with the new Bark 3D Embossing Folder—another must-have texture for your collection! I mounted it onto a Sahara Sand card base. Next I added a 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Evening Evergreen Designer Series Paper to the card front and then adhered a 5" x 1/2" strip of Early Espresso over that. This created a clean, masculine foundation for the turtle focal point.
Label—I die-cut a Basic White label using the Hippo & Friends Dies, then stamped the grass image three times across the middle with Soft Succulent ink. It's mounted onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Terrific Turtle—I stamped the large Turtle Friends turtle in Memento Black ink onto scrap Basic White cardstock, then colored him with Gray Granite, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends Markers. I finished by stamping the shell pattern in Evening Evergreen and punching him out with the Turtle Punch. He's popped up with Dimensionals onto the label.
Finishing Touches—I stamped the Turtle Friends sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto a 2-3/4" x 5/8" strip of Soft Succulent cardstock and popped it up. I finished by coloring some clear Elegant Faceted Gems with a Dark Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends Marker and adding them next to the label. I'm loving this color combo!
Two Cool—My second version features the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set. I love how the Bark texture looks with this ocean theme! The background and card base are in Soft Sea Foam. I added a Soft Succulent DSP layer with a Crumb Cake strip over the top to complete the background.

Finishing Touches—The Friends Are Like Seashells sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto a Mint Macaron piece and popped up. I altered the Elegant Faceted Gems with a Dark Mint Macaron Blends Marker this time for the perfect color coordination. Ooh…I really love how this one turned out!
