#1 Carousel Birthday Comes Around Card

 

The Cupcakes & Carousels suite offers a cool, fair-themed stamp set, along with a 6×6" pack of Designer Series Paper with really pretty patterns for birthdays!  This card also features some of the accents from the coordinating Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit.  Lots of fun goodies to play with in that little kit!

 

Background Basics—Adhere a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Calypso Coral.  Wrap a 6" piece of Calypso Coral Ribbon from the Embellishment Kit around the layers.  Adhere the layers to a Very Vanilla card base.

Oval Medallion—Stamp the carousel horse image from the Carousel Birthday set onto a Very Vanilla card stock using Tip Top Taupe ink.  Die cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits, then layer on a Calypso Coral scallop oval, also die cut from the same framelits.  Pop up onto the card front with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment—Stamp a Carousel Birthday sentiment in Tip Top Taupe ink onto a 4" x 7/8" piece of Very Vanilla.  Fishtail the end and adhere flush to the bottom left edge of the DSP.

Finishing Touches—Adhere a mini tassel from the Embellishment Kit to the card on the ribbon.  Also adhere a Calypso Coral bow over the top of the tassel with another Glue Dot.  Adhere a few Gold Sequins around the card with Glue Dots.

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

#2 Lucky Elephant Good Luck Card

 

The Lucky Elephant stamp set represents an decorated elephant from India, and it looks great with the Cupcakes & Carousel DSP, too!

 

Background Basics—Adhere a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Cupcakes & Carousels DSP to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Silver Glimmer Paper with Glue Dots.  Adhere another 5-1/4" x 1" coordinating piece of the DSP along the background.  Wrap some of the new Metallic Ribbon around the layers and secure on the back, then mount everything onto a Bermuda Bay card base. 

 

Elephant Circle—Stamp the Lucky Elephant image in Basic Gray onto Whisper White card stock and hand-cut with super-sharp Paper Snips.  Color in the white decorative parts with the So Saffron marker.  Die cut a 2-7/8" Bermuda Bay circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Using Paper Snips, snip into the elephant's trunk about 1/8" x 1/4" so there's a spot to slip in the sentiment banner as though he's holding it!  Cute!  Adhere the elephant to the circle and the circle to the card front using Dimensionals. 

 

Sweet Sentiment—Stamp the Lucky You sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a 3" x 3-3/4" piece of So Saffron.  Fishtail the ends with Paper Snips and curl the ends with a Bone Folder.  Adhere it with Glue Dots.

 

Finishing Touches—Add a few Rhinestone Jewels around the card.  Also tie a Metallic Ribbon bow and adhere with more Glue Dots.
