Whole Lot of Lovely Lavender Card
Today we're taking a closer look at a couple of Lots of Lavender projects that are shown in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. Along with this pretty stamp set, the projects feature some of the beautiful Designer Series Papers, which will all be retiring very soon! If you have any DSP favorites…I would stock up now before the retired list is announced in a couple of weeks.
Background Basics—This card begins with a 1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of the black & white striped pattern of Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper, adhered down the folded edge of a Thick Whisper White card base. The background was then covered with a 4" x 5-1/2" layer of the Whole Lot of Lovely striped DSP.
Lovely Lavender—The Lots of Lavender image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2-1/4" x 4" Whisper White piece. The two-step images of the set were used to fill in the areas with some quick color: Powder Pink for the flowers and Tranquil Tide for the leaves and stem. For the bow, the lavender image was stamped again on scrap Whisper White, stamped with the solid bow image in Crushed Curry and cut out by hand.
Finishing Touches & Sentiment—Before mounting the stamped focal point with Dimensionals, a pretty Tranquil Tide lattice shape was die-cut with the Petals & More Thinlits and adhered to the back. I love that little bit of texture peeking out from behind! The words are stamped in Tranquil Tide using sentiments from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set. The individual words were hand-cut and popped up with Dimensionals.

Bundle of Lovely Lots of Lavender Card
This second card featured in the Sale-a-Bration brochure uses elements that are similar to the first card for a whole different look!
Background Basics—A 1" x 5-1/2" strip of the striped Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper was adhered to the outer edge of the Thick Very Vanilla card base. Then, a 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper was mounted over the rest of the card front.
Lovely Lavender—The Lots of Lavender image was stamped onto the 2-1/4" x 4" Very Vanilla layer in Crumb Cake ink this time for a softer look. The two-step lavender image was stamped in Blushing Bride, the leaves were stamped in Old Olive and the ribbon was stamped in Dapper Denim.
Lovely Layers—Like the first card, a Dapper Denim lattice shape was die-cut with the Petals & More Thinlits. This time, it's adhered over the front of the focal point with Fine-Tip Glue. The 3/4" wide Blushing Bride strip was created by adding Blushing Bride ink to Vellum Cardstock with an Aqua Painter. After drying completely, it was adhered to the front with SNAIL strategically placed under the word. The "lovely" word was die-cut from Watercolor Paper with the Lovely Words Thinlits. The Aqua Painter was used again to color the bottom of the letters with Rose Red and Blushing Bride inks. It's attached with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
