Hey Birthday Chick Fancy Fold Card #1
Susan Campfield created this fun fold Hey Birthday Chick card…a vertical version of a classic gate-fold card. So cool!
Background Basics—This card begins with a 4-1/4" x 11" Calypso Coral card base, scored at the 2-3/4" and 8-1/4" marks to make a gate fold. Susan embossed the two Basic White 4" x 2-1/2" pieces with the Old World Paper Embossing Folder before adhering them to the front panels.
Gate Fold Décor—Susan stamped the Hey Birthday Chick confetti image in Calypso Coral ink onto a 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White. It's layered onto a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Calypso Coral and mounted onto the top panel with Dimensionals.
Birthday Chick—Susan stamped the two Hey Birthday Chick images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White, then colored them with Stampin' Blends Markers. Looks like she used Cinnamon Cider, Calypso Coral, Ivory and Daffodil Delight to color in the chicks and cupcake. She die-cut them with the coordinating Birthday Chick Dies and popped them up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I love the sentiment that Susan added! She die-cut the words from Rainbow Glimmer Paper using the Birthday Chick Dies. It's adhered to a 2" x 1" Basic White layer and popped up, too. Perfect!
Inside The Card—Susan decorated the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White layer with the confetti image and another sentiment, both from the Hey Birthday Chick set.
Hey Birthday Chick Fancy Fold Card #2
Gwen Duckworth created this cute fun-fold card with the help of some Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.
Background Basics—Gwen's card begins with a 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" Thick Basic White card base. She decorated the inside of the card with a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Ice Cream Corner DSP.
Lovely Layers—Gwen's card front is decorated with another pattern of Ice Cream Corner Paper, measuring 4" x 3" and layered onto a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic Black. It's popped up onto the front card panel with Dimensionals.
Birthday Chick—Gwen stamped the Hey Birthday Chick image in Memento Tuxedo Black in onto a 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Basic White. It's colored in with Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers. She tied some Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon around the layer before adhering it to the card front. She finished with a Birthday Chick die-cut from Basic Black cardstock that she embossed with Clear Embossing Powder so that it has a glossy sheen. Sweet!
