Hi Stamping Friends!
I had a fabulous time last week in Orlando at the 2015 Leadership Conference! I thought it would be fun to give you a little glimpse at some of the fun we had!
My Too Cool Friend! My downline member Darla Eigenschink joined me at the event this year! Here she is just moments before we headed in for the first General Session.
It's Here! EEEEeee! Inside the theater excitement was building as we waited for Stampin' Up! CEO and co-founder Shelli Gardner to come to the stage!
So Shelli! Shelli welcomed us then got right down to business discussing the ins and outs of our new Compensation Plan that is being rolled out later this year. Lots of changes are coming that will make it even more exciting to be a part of the Stampin' Up! family!
Best. Day. Ever! I loved our reversible Leadership tote bag. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I ended up loving it because it was HUGE and it held everything—my purse, notebook, drink, camera, phone, and all of the All-Attendee giveaways! It will make a great beach bag!
I love that Stampin' Up! always gives us a quality bag with fun little details to make it a lovely keepsake!
Delicious Desserts—We were treated to tasty 3-course lunches on the first two days. My favorite was this carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
My Butterfly Basics Swaps! In between our sessions, I had fun swapping cards with fellow demonstrators! I created one of my Kickoff Party cards featuring the Butterfly Basics Bundle in three different colors: Blushing Bride, Coastal Cabana and Wisteria Wonder. I thought it was funny that when I asked which color they wanted, demos usually responded blue, pink or purple instead of using the appropriate Stampin' Up! color name. For shame! LOL! I'll share more on this card later.
Shelli's Stamping! In the afternoon, we enjoyed a stamping presentation from Shelli Gardner. This card uses some simple masking techniques along with the Big On You and Petal Potpourri stamp sets. I'll be sharing more of the projects we saw later, so stay tuned.
Margarita Time! My good friend Kim Vogel and I enjoyed a margarita at Adobe Gilas before heading to the Manager's Reception at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
It's Fantasmic! When we arrived at Disney, we had a private showing of Disney's Fantasmic show! This photo shows my favorite part when they set the water in the moat on fire. It was spectacular! We also had unlimited access to the Rock 'N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, and although I usually enjoy roller coasters, I opted out this time.
Manager's Gift! All of the attendees of the Manager's Reception received a pretty hardwood frame keepsake!
So much fun…and, that was just the first day!
Paper Pumpkin Peek! On the second day, we picked up a free Paper Pumpkin Kit to share with one of our stamping friends and got a sneak peek at the kits for February and March! Oh, I know you're gonna love them!
Stamping With Sara! In the morning, Shelli's daughter Sara Douglass shared some fun projects that we could feature in our classes. This one is a Mini Treat Bag created with the Simply Irresistible DSP.
Demonstrator Theater! In the afternoon, fellow demonstrators put on several presentations and we could choose which ones to attend. This Birthday Bash vignette was part of an amazing presentation by Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho!
Stampin' Night Out! The Stampin' Up! training team put on an awesome stamping presentation featuring tips using all of our core products: Stamps, Paper, Ink & Kits! I LOVE learning new tips I can share with you! This was one of my favorite projects…a Fry Box stuffed with crinkled card stock grass and From The Garden picks! What a fun Easter basket idea!
Swap-A-Rama! By the end of the 2nd day, I had traded out all of my swap cards and look at all of the cards I received! Oh what fun!
A Card Can Change Your Life! On the last day of Leadership, our keynote speaker, best-selling author Jason Wright, reminded us just how important sending a personal, hand-written note can be. A card can comfort, congratulate, celebrate and console in a way that is magical. Don't we all have a story about how a letter that we received at just the right time touched us deeply? When we create and send cards, we make a difference! He was equally funny and inspiring and most of us ended up in tears.
Display Boards! When we had a chance, we popped into the Gathering Place to take photos of all of the projects on the display boards! So many great ideas, so little time!
My Business Coach! Meet my Stampin' Up! business coach ReNee Wright! I talk to this lovely woman every two weeks and I so appreciate her never-ending support and encouragement! It was great to see her in person and give her a hug!
Inspiration Overload! Our last day included some terrific training classes and ended with even more stamping ideas! It will take me a month just to go through all my photos and notes!

Tearful Good-byes! We were a little red-nosed and teary-eyed after Shelli's farewell at the end of the event. She was pretty emotional, most likely because she and her husband Sterling are taking a sabbatical to do a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that could be up to a year long.
It was a wonderful trip! I'm so blessed that Darla was able to share this experience with me this year! Woohoo! Who's coming with me to our next Stampin' Up! event?! Want to join us? Talk to me about becoming part of the Stampin' Up! family and the Too Cool Team!
