They Say It's Your Birthday Card
Today's "Last Thursdays" card features sneak peeks of several brand new 2016 Occasions Catalog items! If you can't attend tomorrow's class, we'll be highlighting these products at the Catalog Kickoff Party on more projects!
Sneak Peek #1—I used the new Confetti Texture Impressions Folder on the 4" x 5-1/4" Melon Mambo background. This is a "frame" style folder that leaves a plain, non-textured oval space in the center. I've covered the flat part with a die-cut from the Oval Collection Framelits of the same size here.
Sneak Peek #2—The 4" x 1-1/2" black decorative paper is from the new 48-sheet, 12" x 12" It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack! This is a HUGE, DELUXE stack pf full-size paper with fun, birthday-themed patterns perfect for any age or gender! If you like DSP, this is a must-have for your wish list!
I added a 4" x 1/4" strip of Silver Glimmer Paper over the DSP, then adhered the background onto a Whisper White card base.
Sneak Peek #3—I stamped a birthday cake image from the new Party Wishes stamp set onto my oval in Mint Macaron ink.
Sneak Peek #4—The birthday candles are from the same Party Wishes set, stamped in Melon Mambo, then punched with the new, coordinating Party Punch Pack candle punch. You can buy them in a bundle and save 15%! I adhered them with a 2-Way Glue Pen.
Sneak Peek #5—The sentiment is from a new set called Suite Sayings, with 10 pretty sayings that coordinate with several of the other stamp sets features in the catalog. This greeting, for example, matches the look and theme of the It's My Party suite of products. Other phrases in the set coordinate easily with other suites. I stamped this sentiment on a 3/4" wide strip of Whisper White, fishtailed the ends to fit the oval and popped up with Dimensionals.
Sneak Peek #6—The Melon Mambo & Black striped bow was made with the new Baker's Twine Combo Pack, which includes full spools of both Melon Mambo/Black & Mint Macaron/Black striped twine. My bow is adhered with a Glue Dot.
I finished off the card with a few floating Rhinestone Jewels.
