Hi Stamping Friends!

It's been a very eventful year for me and I'm so ready to start the calendar with a clean slate!  I enjoy taking some time to review and tweek and plan and clean and organize a little for a fresh start both personally and in my business.  I'm looking forward to more fun stamping adventures with you in the new year!

#1 Balloon Adventures Another Year Card
 
One thing I'll really be focusing on in the coming year is birthdays!  I want to have more birthday cards on hand at all times, and I want to do a much better job of sending out birthday cards!  I love that the new Occasions catalog has a lot of birthday themed stamp sets, so I'll have an awesome selection of images to keep my birthday cards stocked up! 
 
The Balloon Adventures Bundle is my favorite of all of the birthday sets!  It includes festive balloon images, fun greetings in fantastic fonts and fascinating die-cuts that work for any age and any gender!  It's a must-have on your stamping wish list!
 
Background Basics—Stamp solid image Balloon Adventure balloons around the edge of the Thick Whisper White card front in So Saffron.

Balloon Front Background—Stamp the greeting from Balloon Adventures in Memento Black on the bottom of a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Whisper White.  Stamp two balloons and strings in So Saffron in the upper right on that layer.  Mat on a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" layer of So Saffron card stock and pop up onto the card front with Dimensionals.

Balloon Accent—Punch a So Saffron balloon with the Balloon Bouquet Punch.  Then die cut a black polka dot balloon using the new Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits and layer that over the solid balloon with Multipurpose Glue.  Pop it up with Dimensionals!

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

The outside of this card is pretty simple, but the inside is simply awesome!  It's the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits that make it easy!
 
Card Front Background—Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the new & coordinating Party Animal Designer Series Paper to an Emerald Envy card base. 
 
Birthday Package—Stamp the greeting in Pacific Point ink onto the bottom of a 3" x 4" piece of Whisper White.  Adhere a 2" square of another pattern of Party Animal DSP to the white layer to represent the gift.  Next, use the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits to die cut a Crushed Curry bow and adhere that to the top of the package with a Glue Dot.  Pop the entire layer up with Dimensionals onto the card front.

Pop Up Made Easy—For the Too Cool inside, start with a 5" x 7-3/4" piece of Whisper White that's scored at the 3-3/4" mark.  Align the score line with the middle line on the Balloon Pop Up die, then run through the Big Shot.  Before you fold the die-cut shape, you'll want to stamp all the Balloon Adventures balloons using Emerald Envy, Pacific Point and Crushed Curry inks.  Also stamp the banner and greeting images on the appropriate part of the die-cut.  After everything is stamped, fold on the pre-scored lines with a "mountain" fold in the middle.  Adhere the side panels onto the card using a secure adhesive like Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape.  Add a little of the matching Party Animal Washi Tape to the edges for a festive touch!
