Peggy's Gold Blossoming Basket Card

Peggy Tassler shared this card at our Too Cool Team event last month and I adored the beautiful gold embossed Blossoming Basket image! What a lovely spring card for all kinds of occasions!

Background Basics—Peggy started by embossing a 4-1/8" x 3-1/2" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with the Basket Weave Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder. She secured the layer to a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Whisper White with Tear & Tape Adhesive, then mounted it onto a Peekaboo Peach card base.

Beautiful Basket—Peggy stamped the Blossoming Basket image in VersaMark ink onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" Whisper White layer, then sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat-set it with the Heat Tool until glossy & smooth. She colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers: light Crumb Cake for the basket, light Old Olive for the leaves, light Pumpkin Pie, light Pink Pirouette and light Calypso Coral for the flowers. She also added some Smoky Slate around the basket base to create a shadow. It's layered onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" square of Old Olive, then mounted onto the card front.

Finishing Touches—Peggy stamped the adorable little tag image in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White, then hand-cut it and adhered it to the basket handle. She finished by adding a small Linen Thread bow with a Glue Dot. So, so pretty!

Janet's Gold Blossoming Basket Card

At the same Too Cool Team event, Janet Shinn also shared a beautiful Blossoming Basket card with the gold embossed look! I love how it pops with this color combination.

Background Basics—Janet embossed the front of a Pool Party card base with the Basket Weave embossing folder. Simple & pretty!

Beautiful Basket—This time, Janet stamped the Blossoming Basket image onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Vellum cardstock, then gold embossed it. She used Stampin' Blends Markers to color the BACK side of the image with the light versions of the Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Pool Party and Pink Pirouette colors. You could also use the classic Stampin' Write Markers. The vellum layer is attached to a Whisper White layer of the same size. She used SNAIL adhesive under the basket image only, so it wouldn't show through. I love the softer look that coloring the back of the vellum provides. So sweet!

Finishing Touches—Like Peggy's card, Janet also stamped the tiny tag image, this time in Pool Party. She attached a Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon bow with a Glue Dot.
