You're The Sweetest Tasty Trucks Cards

Now that it's spring, it won't be long before we start to hear the ice cream man driving through our neighborhoods. This whimsical Sale-a-Bration set reminds me of that music and brings a smile to my face! And, this truck, with it's taco and hot dog and even stack of pancake images, also reminds me of food trucks at summer festivals. The truck image is so much fun to color with a Blender Pen and ink pads, or the new Watercolor Pencils, too!

Background Basics—Adhere the 2" x 5-1/4" strip of Carried Away Designer Series Paper, another Sale-A-Bration item, to a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Peekaboo Peach card stock. Tie some Whisper White Thick Baker's Twine around the layer, then pop up onto a Peekaboo Peach card base.

Tasty Truck—I stamped the Tasty Trucks image in Memento Black onto a 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White. I added three ice cream cones and the sweet sentiment in black ink, too.

Coloring—You can color the truck using either Blender Pen or Aqua Painter and ink pads. I used an Aqua Painter. Squeeze the ink pad while it's closed to transfer ink to the lid, then use that lid as a palette. I colored with Peekaboo Peach and Soft Sky ink for the truck, Watermelon Wonder for the awning and ice cream and Tip Top Taupe for the cones, wheels and road.

Once it's dry, I layered it onto a 3-1/2" x 3" Soft Sky mat. I added a half piece of Doily behind the mat, then popped it up with Dimensionals.

Two Cool—My second card uses Party Animal DSP, which is now a Sale-a-Bration item, too! It's layered onto a Pacific Point Card Base.

I added cupcakes on this truck, and colored their frosting and the awning with Pacific Point ink. Cool trucks!
