Adventurous Sky Father’s Day Card
While the airplane images in the Adventurous Sky stamp set are super-fun to color, there are also dies that layer together to create a cool plane, too! That was the focus of this final card from my class.
Background Basics
I started by adhering a 3/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock down the left side of a Boho Blue card front. Next, I added a 2-1/2″ x 5″ piece of the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper over the top of it, flush with the top, so it was hanging like a banner.
I also die-cut two sizes of the Adventurous Sky clouds in Basic White and adhered them to the lower half of the card.
Awesome Airplane
Using the Adventurous Sky Dies, I die-cut the base of the plane in Copper Clay cardstock, the wings in Gray Granite cardstock and the propeller in Night of Navy. I adhered the layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then popped up the aircraft with Dimensionals.
Sentiment
I die-cut a Basic White circle with the Unbounded Love Dies and stamped the Adventurous Sky sentiment in Night of Navy on it. It’s popped up with more Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I added a couple of Basic Gray Pearls, one in each size, next to the sentiment circle for a shiny finish. So cool!
Adventurous Sky You’re The Best Card
I CASEd my class card from this lovely card created by Kim Allen.
Basic Background
Kim’s card begins with a 3″ x 5″ piece of Take To The Sky DSP adhered flush to the top of a Copper Clay card front.
Awesome Airplane
Kim’s plane is constructed of a Night of Navy body, Copper Clay wings and Gray Granite propeller.
Sweet Sentiment
I love how Kim stamped the Adventurous Sky sentiment right on the Basic White cloud die-cut in Night of Navy ink. It fits perfectly!
Finishing Touches
Kim used a few Basic Gray Pearls to add some shine to this awesome card!
