All Dressed Up Miniature Tote Bags
The All Dressed Up dies make it so easy to create adorable little spring tote bags that make perfect little gifts for Mother's Day, Mother/Daughter dinners, bridal showers and girls night out keepsakes! You can fill it with all kinds of things: candy, a gift card, cash, 3" x 3" note cards or other small gifts. The base of the tote measures approximately 3-1/4" x 1" and the top measures approximately 4" x 1-3/4", so it holds quite a bit!
Tote Basics—I die-cut the two sides of the tote with the All Dressed Up tote die using Lovely Lipstick cardstock. The die includes all of the score lines and faux stitching accents, so all you have to do is fold and assemble with either Tear & Tape Adhesive or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. You can see how to assemble these totes by watching the LIVE Class linked above.
Before assembling the tote, I die-cut the floral front and back panels of the tote with the same die from the Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. I trimmed the panels down to size with my super-sharp Paper Snips and adhered them with SNAIL.
Handles—I die-cut the two Lovely Lipstick handles, along with 4 Silver Foil buckles, using the All Dressed Up dies. You get 4 buckle dies in the set, so it saves lots of time only having to run them through the die-cutting machine one time! I used a Bone Folder to gently curve the handles, then threaded the buckles on the end before adhering to the tote with Multipurpose Glue or Tear & Tape.
Tote Décor—I die-cut a Lovely Lipstick pocket and Silver Foil button with the dies, as well. That die set has EVERYTHING! I stamped a sentiment from the Honey Bee stamp set in Memento Black onto Whisper White, then die-cut it with the All Dressed Up label die. It's popped up with Dimensionals. I adorned it with a couple of Rhinestone Jewels.
Two Cool—I had so much fun mixing and matching the Best Dressed floral papers and different colors of cardstock to create these cute treat holders for my Kickoff Party earlier this year. This one features Blushing Bride for the base.
Three Cool—I think the Mint Macaron one is my favorite color combination!
Four Cool—Here's one with a Purple Posy cardstock base.
Five Cool—It looks almost black, but it's really Blackberry Bliss.
Six Cool—The final version features Gorgeous Grape for the tote. Love it!
